Weird, but impressive

Haha, I was the same. Just sat on the floor laughing at myself.

That’s even more cheaty than sumo deadlifts. I like it!

I always thought that was the “easier” version? Either way, with a shoulder that’s currently barely in the socket, I’ll pass on that one. Enough planking for me today in any case.

I suspect the difficulty has more to do with levers than strength for the majority of us.

Not for the average person, but I don’t know about for lifters. I have never seen anyone do them besides myself in the real world.

If you do the six weeks to superhero program it will fix that… lol

I like Dan John way better than Wendler for this stuff.

I’m close to 10/10. The plank is the only one of which I’m not certain because I haven’t done one in ages. They kill my shoulders.

Well, the Dan John version is more “everyone should be able to do these” where Jim’s is more “you are a badass if you can do these”. I like both.

Doesn’t that program involve 53 pieces of equipment per day?

Pretty much but it’s fun and makes you do things that you normally don’t do.

That’s what my cheap knock off of Brian Alsruhe type of training is doing. It has abs and cardio and dynamic work in it.

Took one day off, then had a Bob day only yesterday, back to the gym today. Shoulder day. Mostly still just seeing where things are at while getting in some decent work. Was kinda a mixed bag today. The 80 took 2 attempts, and I am not even sure the one I managed really counted. It certainly wasn’t convincing. The sets at 70 were also more difficult than I want them to be, but I think my way forward here is to keep working things at that weight. Or maybe start a 531 with just upper body, I might be able to pull that off The rest is just…work.

My videos no longer get properly imbedded for some reason, but here is some wank material:

Seriously, does anyone else have a problem imbedding Insta videos? It use to work fine, not it doesn’t work at all.

I think there’s a lot of changes going on on the back end of the site at the minute. I’ve noticed the site has been becoming more and more unusable over the last few weeks, so hopefully they’re fixing some of that crap.

These are badasses muscle-ups. Great job, I never managed to do them

Yeah, maybe that is it. I also am getting a lot of those “ghost posts” or whatever it is when you see duplicate posts that are greyed out and all kinds of other small things not working.

Yeah I have these at well but they disappear quickly, not a big deal

Yeah, I can live with those. It is just the vids that have my panties all in a twist.

Likes are going to the right posts and those fucking stupid “please look at our articles” things in the bottom right are gone too, thank Bob.

a couple of days of in here and there are 50+ posts

Damn you’re popular C, not much training, (put a strong OHP it is) lots of talks though. I like it.

The 10 things you should do, the sitting and standing up, damn I can’t do that. Must practice.

Well I did train 6 times over 7 days!

But yeah, if we just wrote logs without all the conversation, I don’t even see the point of that. While it is nice going back a year and seeing what numbers looked like, I have another log where I can get all that. For me, the point of the logging is the conversations it provokes with like-minded people, and everything that comes with that. Whether that is showing off, getting advice, giving advice, challenging each other, making fun of each other…it’s all good.

Yeah you’re exactly right. The logging in itself… meh. You usually remember what you did last week anyway. Still can be nice to see how you progressed over months. But I recall the recent podcast between Fouad Abouad and Jay Cutler, and the mr O said he would log everything, even the number of poops he had, but that he actually never looked at them back again.
