Lockdown Day 96. Still no abs.

Yesterday was just a Bob day, he has been getting neglected.

Today a chest day. No rhyme or reason to the rep scheme, just did everything slower and more controlled than usual, so less weight and fewer reps. Easy but effective, I guess.

Lockdown Day 97. Still no abs.

Health check-in. Resting heart rate has been holding steady at around 48. Blood Pressure check this morning 116 over 67 (HR at 42 during the test), which is both an improvement since I started dropping weight, and I guess also pretty good in general.

Morning weight 78.3, so this officially puts it over a 10 kilo weight loss. Bit more to go, but probably not too much.

Preparing to go for a run, and then suddenly I see snowflakes. WTF March? Going to have to force myself anyway I suppose.

Some would. I would not. You will have to settle for this instead:

30 minutes (no warmup or cooldown)
5.52 km
All 30 minutes running, no walks.

5.26 per km. My mind was on keeping it slow again, but it ended up being faster than the 25 min pace by virtue of focusing more on breathing than the actual speed. The last 5 minutes were not terribly fun.

That’s it. I am satisfied. App lady is hereby retired, at least for now.

You mean that’s not normal? This past week it was almost 70 and sunny on Tuesday. The wind picked up to a nice and steady 25mph and it started raining Wednesday. By mid-afternoon, large snowflakes were falling in a lovely swirling cyclone fashion.

You’re tempting me to give this lady a shot… or at least adopt the approach of planned walking during my slogs.

The thing about the app…is that you just do exactly what she says. The only thing you have to worry about is managing your pace. You just have to commit to the mental challenge of running when she says to run, and walking when she says to walk. Stopping is not an option.

And hell…it works. I cannot deny it.

Off day yesterday, shoulder day today. Decided to do it BTN because of reasons. I only really care about working the muscles, but it does not escape my attention how pathetically light this was. Super-setted the squats because why not?

Lockdow Day 100. Abs have magically appeared!*

Just did a mile run today. Timer on my stupid Fitbit went a little wonky, but ended up at about 7.50. I think maybe I don’t like this kind of running after all. Will probably go a bit slower and longer instead.

*For a very broad definition of abs.
