Weird, but impressive

Yeah, getting close to two months. And at least two more weeks to go? Getting fairly tired of it.

We’re going on 5 months with our recent lockdown, if I counted correctly. With different intensities which never made sense from the beginning and arethe reason we’re still in lockdown, but hey. In a weird way I’m just used to it by now.

Lockdown Day 56. Still no abs.

Weight still dropping slowly, heart rate now down to 48 the last couple of days. I figure at this rate it will be hitting zero in about 4 months.

Quick day of horizontal pulling. Did the yates fairly slow with almost a curl at the top.

  • Yates Row

    • 25 kg x 10 reps
    • 35 kg x 10 reps
    • 45 kg x 10 reps
    • 49 kg x 10 reps
    • 53 kg x 10 reps
    • 59 kg x 10 reps
    • 45 kg x 10 reps
  • One-Arm Dumbbell Row

    • 22 kg x 10 reps
    • 26 kg x 10 reps
    • 32 kg x 10 reps
    • 36 kg x 10 reps
    • 36 kg x 10 reps
    • 26 kg x 10 reps

Have avoided running the last few days because of the cold and snow. Well today it is just cold, so I feel I have to do it. It is going to suck.

Right, so running W3D3. The intervals are getting longer (2 3 3 2 with an equal amount of walking after each), and so is the total running time. That said, I had an okay pace and it wasn’t all that hard.

30 minutes (10 warmup and cooldown as usual)
4.2 km
10 minutes actual running

About 7 minutes and 8 seconds for the pace. Going to get harder again next time. Running app lady is a sadist.

Yeah, hear you. Going slightly stircrazy not seeing anybody and not going out. For me the training is good though, not having to commute gives me more time to workout.

5? That is a long lockdown.

How much weight have you lost since the lockdown started 50 some odd days ago? Forgive me if I’ve missed it in your log somewhere.

Yeah I miscounted. It’s actually 4. We started sometime in November with a lighter lockdown which has gotten more restrictive as we went. But I don’t anticipate significant changes before easter.

Roughly 6 kilo at this point.

I am a weirdo in that I LOVE going to the gym. So it wears on me a bit. But that said, I will probably come out of lockdown in much better shape (albeit weak as shit) than I went in.

Love not having to commute to work. I haven’t bought gas for the car in 3 months.

Lockdown Day 57. Still no abs.

Feel like I am that place, the one opposite of where the sweet spot is, where I am a fantastic combination of fat, weak and low energy. I don’t care as much as I usually do, but still kinda annoying.

More specifically, here’s a terrible press day:

Standing Barbell Shoulder Press (OHP)

  • 25 kg x 8 reps
  • 35 kg x 8 reps
  • 39 kg x 8 reps
  • 43 kg x 8 reps
  • 45 kg x 6 reps
  • 49 kg x 6 reps
  • 53 kg x 6 reps
  • 55 kg x 10 reps
  • 35 kg x 12 reps
  • 35 kg x 12 reps
  • 35 kg x 12 reps
  • 35 kg x 12 reps

I was mainly just trying to be a bit slow and work the muscles, but hard to deny that it felt heavy. @dagill2 I think you can probably out press me now, hope you are happy with yourself.

In general: yes.

I think you’ve still got me on the press. I’ve also recently joined the ā€œstill fat, but not fat enough to be strongā€ club, albeit as a late entry, so I would imagine my press is down. I’m deliberately not using a straight bar for my main work sets so as to stop my ego getting hit too hard.

Don’t mind going to the gym, as such, but even with the gym close by, you often spend 30-40 minuttes getting there and back. I know that a I get more sessions in training from home, which is a plus in my book.

Lockdown Day 58. Still no abs.

Just a running day. Was harder, and colder. But not too sucky, even though it was more total running and longer intervals.

34 minutes (10 warmup and cooldown as usual)
4.82 km
14 minutes actual running

About 7 minutes and 3 seconds for the pace.

You realize you only have ~ 19 days left right?

This log is getting a bit depressing :joy::joy::laughing:

No doubt abs will appear as if from out of nowhere in maybe 17 days or so.

No doubt.

What exactly is your warm up and cool down?

It is literally just 5 minutes walking both before and after. It is getting to a point where I will probably drop one or both of them. The cooldown in particular seems a waste of time.
