Congrats! Rock on!
Xen,
Thats impressive- how many body weight pull ups can you do?
TR
Thanks guys, this was goal that I had for this microcycle (I like to do 3 weeks of hard lifting, 1 week of tabata stuff). I thought it would take me 3 weeks, and I accomplished it in one week!
3reps with 100lbs. I can’t wait till I can do it with bodyweight!!!
To answer your question:
when i was 140ish I could knock off damn near 30-40pullups non stop.
now I can probably knock off 25 (180ish now), but that consists of me doing about 16-18, and rest-pause, then do 1, rest-pause, do 1-2, etc.
It’s nice see somebody concentrated on pull-ups, - The “upper-body squat”!
I can do 4-5 pull-ups wit 100 lbs weight, and can do 3 x 16 bwt pull-ups abt 2-3 mis rests (I do 'em too slowly… “body building -style”) - I weight now abt 190 lbs
I’m with diet, so I wanna go up weight and reps!
I can do 23 chin-ups straight and 20 pull-ups straight. Weighted chin-ups I do 5 reps with 70lbs. Pull-ups only 45 lbs 5 reps. Big difference there, wonder what it is. At a bw of 150.

When you can do this, you will damn near be able to do a one-arm pull-up which is my goal (but I’m much farther away from it than you are!).
Keep us informed.
