Weight Lifting Straps

I was checking out prowriststraps.com and looking at wrist straps (my thin leather ones are hashed). I notice that there is a huge variety from cotton to thick ass leather. Are there specific uses for the different kinds?

Doubtful. Just a matter of price/comfort/durability/style.

Been using the 2 inch efs straps for a year now. Twice weekly they get 600lbs of stress put on em for shrugs. The only thing wrong so far is that they smell kinda funny cause i haven’t washed em since i got them.

I got the 2" Spud straps from EFS, my first impression was they were a little too wide, but after using them for a while I wouldn’t change them, they are SO comfortable!

APT cotton with nylon reinforcement are what I use. So far they’ve lasted almost 3 times as long as any other pair of flimsey cotton pair has. I don’t think I’ll need to replace them anytime soon, either.

The super grip elite black mamba straps from APT pro straps is what i ordered. They are durable as hell and the extra rubber grip on them keeps you from slipping. Held over 500 lbs with them no probs at all.

Awesome, thanks guys!

Oh and if you go with APT with nylon reinforcement, get the felt padding with it. The nylon will slice your wrists apart.

Because of carpel tunnel issues, heavy back training (rows, rack pulls, deads, etc.) are unrealistic without straps. I had always used cotton, but at one point I picked up some big ass leather APT straps off EliteFTS when they were on sale. I really enjoy them… they’re durable, sturdy, but still make it challenging for me. Because I have smaller hands, I always get a good grip workout because I’m holding on to THICK ass leather.
