I personally listen to garage and grime.
mind you recently i’ve not been listening to music in the gym and concentrated solely on my lifting and am starting to prefer it. let me know if anyone else feels the same![/quote]

i feel ya there. sometimes i like to zone out with music but sometimes i just like the sounds of the gym, weights hitin the floor, bars bein racked, the occasional sexy grunt from some babe in the corner… but thats just me lol

decapsk8 where did you find your avatar? and do you know who the artist is? the style of artwork is amazing.

I can’t rock most death metal or black metal when lifting. It’s often just too all over the place, messes me up.

Metal I prefer lifting to would be more along the lines of Strapping Young Lad, Iced Earth or Lamb of God. I like my tunes a bit slower, but with that heavy punch, as opposed to endless blast beats. I like the stuff, just not for lifting.

Pantera, Old Metallica, Ax7, Trivium, throwdown, All that remains, some Bullet for my Valentine,Linkin Park (only Hybrid Theory, and Meteroa), KILLSWITCH, Atreyu (older), to name a few…

SOAD- Fuck The System

SOAD- Deer Dance

i need to update my playlist

Parkway Drive is good too.

Batman’s quads are lagging

Wow only a few mentions of Metallica on here.

I personally only listen to Metallica’s self titled album (the Black Album) every time I am in the gym. Especially when I lift heavy it helps me get psyched up.

When I am going to lift for reps at a higher tempo I will switch it up and listen to something like Techno, that has a beat to get me into a rhythm.

I am not much of a fan of that type of music but only one artist has caught my ear, Benny Benassi.

Rammstein
Oomph
Celldweller
Puscifer
Nonpoint
Blue Stahli - kill me everytime
Framing Hanley - lollipop remix Lollipop Remix cover - Framing Hanley - YouTube

They took a crappy song and made it awesome.
