only question ive got is how do you recover so fast lol? if i train quads on a monday im still pretty sore by weds morning and wouldnt even think of training a deadlift or something like that for back, i know you only list top sets but do u not do much warm up like say for front squat would you do…
I usually do 135x8,225x6,275x6 then 315x whatever, for 2-3 sets today probably, then yah I’ll move on to the next thing. Quad exercises are front squat, leg press and hack squat followed by extensions today. I just don’t really get sore man lol
jammy bastard lol, no where near ur weights but im have try some of that i always did a top set then dropped the weight and repped out, maybe dont need to do that on all the big movements…

Yah man, I wouldn’t do the drop set thing. I think people see the pro’s do that in their pre contest vids and assume it’s what got them their muscle but IMO it’s just a waste of time.
It’s nice that you’re not like most who think people aren’t working hard enough for being able to train a muscle group, especially anything in the legs, more than once a week.
Adding squats every opportune chance sounds like a good idea.

Ok, I’m glad that works for you
I’m a firm believer in high frequency training. Not that I’m all that or anything, but there are very few people my age at my level of development and sure some of that is genetic but it’s also the fact that I train intelligently instead of just destroy myself every time. It’s all about managing fatigue and getting back in there ASAP. It’s the most effective method of training I’ve found and it lets me do something I love 7 days a week so I’m gonna keep doing it. However, if you are lazy with nutrition and don’t sleep much and attempt this, you’re fucked
We all have our own methods but the big guys I know around my age all train in this fashion as well. Hungry4More comes to mind, he trains very high frequency as well with overall low volume. Just seems to work better.
Anyways…gym time. I’m likely going to attempt a 405 CGBP today, if I get it I’ll take a video. Hit 370x5 last sesh, so I should be good for it. from 275x5 to 405x1 in ~4 weeks? LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN!

lol!
Just read through this whole log. Good stuff in here Waylander. Keep kickin ass man. [/quote]
hahahaha!
He’s a good friend of mine, actually been working with shelby for about 9 weeks now…he’s looking a lot better. On the lower end of the genetics tree but he continually busts his ass so he has my respect.
I’m in on this man! I’ve been doing higher frequency with lower volume recently and it has been working very well. I think you and the other guys are on to something

Yes, I feel like people are finally starting to catch on to this type of training and the super high volume once per week bodypart training is falling by the wayside. Guys are putting on a ridiculous amount of muscle in short periods of time with high frequency training, I think it’s a training gold mine.
Pic is a comparison from 255 lbs to now 260 lbs, hoping I can add another 10-15 before It’s time to diet down for that contest. Decided to do triceps with back toady on a whim and turned out well.
Hey Waylander! Very inspiring log you have here man. I would have pmed you but they dont seem to work on this site, so my apologies.
Im not exactly new to lifting (been powerlifting since I was 15, now 19) but am making a transition to bodybuilding. Never done any kind of routine that wasnt centered around gaining strength, so I was wondering if you could help me out with one. I tried making one, but it was apparently shit, so I found this one (I like it because of the high frequency you talk about):
Monday: Chest/tri’s/shoulders
Tuesday; Back/biceps
Wednesday: legs
Thursday: Chest/tri’s/shoulders
Friday: Back/bi’s
Saturday: Legs

NP man, PM’s are screwy on here.
Looks good to me, I did something like that for a pretty long time. 7 days in a row right off the bat is usually a little rough for people though so you may want to take every 4th day off and then work up to lifting everyday once you adjust to the routine and if your body gives you the “OK”.
