Use those carbs as energy to build muscles with protein. Protein is like bricks and carbs are like the illegal immigrant workers.
I literally laughed out loud at this.

BBQ salad is the best thing to come out of this thread.

Well when you come in talking about the opportunity cost of having a pizza vs regular protein makes you sound like you’re trying to come off as knowledgeable when in fact you’re not. Fact is a 1300 calorie pizza (which has about 50-80g protein in it depending on toppings) is going to do more for your strength than a 50g protein shake.

Why? Recovery. Insulin + protein +PWO = good times for strength. I could go on to quote that your body will use the carbs in a positive manner because of glut4 translocation, mTOR effects, and all that jazz but it’s relatively irrelevant because there is one simple truth: Chicago Pizza is better than NY Pizza.

Yah. I went there.
Lmao sounds like you dont know what opportunity cost means. The amount of calories taken could be used on better foods. That simple. I never said it had to be a small protein shake to replace it. You can eat much better foods for your insulin theory. But since you are in pwoerlifting and are close to my weight class please eat the pizza! Eat it everyday as well as the OP, it’ll give you a huge advantage. I want all my competition to eat pizza daily!

I do have a minor in economics, but that’s beside the point. You’re revising your arguments - you weren’t saying take an equal amount of calories, you had made suggestions of something significantly less in caloric content. Further - at times - such as post-workout the huge insulin spike that can come from a pizza isn’t a bad thing - even though if I were truly worrying about insulin spike I’d go with something with less fat and less lactose, such as a box of poptarts, an order of sweet n’ sour chicken, a few cans of tomato soup, and probably some cookies of some sorts. Now - is white rice or a potato likely to give me quite the insulin response that those choices are? Most likely not. Further the volume of white rice and potatoes I’d have to eat to illicit said insulin response would be impractical.

As far as me being close to your weight class…well I have zero problems making weight - I’m actually quite good at it. Engaging in a dick measuring contest with a kid isn’t particularly my style though. Come play around in the open classes in a few years then you can start actually saying I’m “your competition”.

hell yeah pizza.

Last night, pwo - chocolate milk, steak and baked potato with bacon and butter, fried shrimp, caesar salad, massive buttered rolls, and rum.

Currently losing bad weight while getting bigger.

It’s hard for me to describe the LM I had in my head.

I tried making a zombie version of how I thought you looked to give you a better idea.

No offense intended though, it’s hard to make zombies look like alive people.

Heh. Gotta keep at it. Trying to find that sweet spot of “can make weight from here” to “this doesn’t suck balls to make weight from here”.

I think I may be speechless. I do not even know how to respond haha. The only question is - is the real me an improved version over the zombie like version in your head? My true goal is just to survive the zombie apocalypse.

I suppose it’s a slight improvement, ha!

I’m sure you’ll be fine. You can wear one of those metal pasta strainers on your head for a helmet.

HAHA! That’s not fair. It’s not my fault all the zombies look like they’re slouching.
They ain’t got no zombie with proper posture to chose from!

And it’s just a regular t-shirt he’s wearing. It was either that, a suit, or a wife beater!

I think I did a very good job transfering the image from my brain to the internet via zombie.
