Now hold on I’ll stick up for pizza. Get some pineapple, chicken, bacon, ham, and pepperoni. Mmm. I think my squat went up 30 pounds just thinkin about it. This is the powerlifting forum! I eat food based on what I can get from it. Eatin up all kinds of protein and carbs and calories from pizza.
Now we might be talkin if you got all that on your protein on your pizza! But personally, a pizza with all that meat business is just nasty. Ham and pizza mixes about as well as BBQ sauce on a salad

Lol that’s what I was thinking. Sign me up for the BBQ salad.
For every slice of pizza you don’t eat and day you don’t train, there’s 10 motherfuckers eating a whole pie after 4hours worth of training. Always remember there are many hungry dogs trying to get to the top, do you want to be left in the dust or not?

Did someone really just say a salad with meat will help your strength just as much as a meat lovers pizza? What fucking forum am I in?
x2 on NY pizza being the best.
Nobody said that. I said ham on a pizza is as bad of a combo as BBQ sauce on a salad. But these motherfuckers like that shit, so they can do whatever the FUCK they wanna doo.
Btw, OP I heard Jimmy Struthers Throws a pizza in the blender with his whey protein along with 45 g’s of creatine to take advantage of his pepperoni-fueled insulin spike
Well when you come in talking about the opportunity cost of having a pizza vs regular protein makes you sound like you’re trying to come off as knowledgeable when in fact you’re not. Fact is a 1300 calorie pizza (which has about 50-80g protein in it depending on toppings) is going to do more for your strength than a 50g protein shake.
Why? Recovery. Insulin + protein +PWO = good times for strength. I could go on to quote that your body will use the carbs in a positive manner because of glut4 translocation, mTOR effects, and all that jazz but it’s relatively irrelevant because there is one simple truth: Chicago Pizza is better than NY Pizza.

Man you must be goin crazy. Although now that you mention it, I was imagining BBQ salad again. I bet you can make one of them bitches better than a pizza. You get a piece of lettuce or somethin, put that in a bowl, then put two pounds of pulled pork on top, and dump a bunch of BBQ sauce on it. BBQ salad, mmmm.

Use those carbs as energy to build muscles with protein. Protein is like bricks and carbs are like the illegal immigrant workers.

Digiornio 4 cheese pizza- 1860 calories, 228 grams carb, 96 grams proteins, 60 grams fat. How can you say no?
yeah but is it WHEY protein? Huh? HUH?
I tell ya what he needs to do; crack open a bunch of eggs and dump about 10 scoops of whey in there. Then slather all that on the pizza and deep fry that bitch in your whey protein batter.

Yah. I went there.
Lmao sounds like you dont know what opportunity cost means. The amount of calories taken could be used on better foods. That simple. I never said it had to be a small protein shake to replace it. You can eat much better foods for your insulin theory. But since you are in pwoerlifting and are close to my weight class please eat the pizza! Eat it everyday as well as the OP, it’ll give you a huge advantage. I want all my competition to eat pizza daily!
