While we’re on the topic of Zane (so I don’t open a new one), does anyone have Zane’s measurements at the '83 Olympia?
It was probably his smallest, and yet IMO, his best shape ever.
Of course i could be wrong but i recall it being something like
chest 50
waist 29
arms 18
thighs 26
hope that helped, speaking of which, what shoul the measurements of a weight trained individual my age be?

Don’t be worried about what your measurements should be, or if your chest looks flat, or what someone rates you. You are miles ahead of anyone your age. Just work hard and eat well and don’t worry about the rest.

I don’t understand what you said but Egypt is in Africa. Awks how you made about the same mistake as Michelle Bachman.
You know, Frank does have his own website…
If you really want to know what he does you can purchase his training info:
http://www.frankzane.com/home.htm
there was another thread on T-Nation about him before as well:
and oh, you look very good for your age, good attitude too. You are respectful and willing to listen. Keep reading and asking. Apply the advice and keep what works for you. Discard the rest and try something else until you have found what works for you.
Good luck.

Is a 37 chest,46 inch shoulder and 28 inch waist good for a sixteen year old or just average or bad?

No offense. But who cares?
You need to get signficantly bigger to look like a bodybuilder. Regardless of your mesasurements.
So, again, who cares about those numbers?

you speak english, right? I asked what was the ideal measurements, am not looking to look like your typical bodybuilder, i want symmetry, aesthetics and a lean hollywood look, i asked for advice on wether those measurements are good and you replied with ‘who cares?’ where i come from we call that ‘badbelle’. Tough and angry for the sake of seeming badass and failing woefully

Perhaps you are focused a bit too much on numbers. Those numbers would look much different on a person 6 feet tall then a person 5 foot 5 inches. Do you understand? Even if the persons would be the same height, the one with the long muscle bellies and the tiny joints will look much better.
Bodybuilding is very much about an illusion (though without size there isn’t much to create an illusion with) so don’t focus too much on what the tape says. It is important of course, but if you want to look like Zane it is better to focus on the mirror.
I do not think Bonez was trying to be a badass for no reason. If you look great but have a 29 inch waist, does it matter?

he sounded disrespectfull, there are better ways to say things like that…all i asked was if these measurements are good enough, where could be bigger or smaller. Am about 5’9, small bone structures, i provided the measurement cause i cant privide an adequate picture, and this one makes me look real slim. Have i not been dilligent this whole time, why would he reply me with ‘who cares’ cause i asked for help, that’s belittling and makes me look like a fool. I know i dont look like a bodybuilder, granted…but all am asking is from my pic do i look like a 5’9 16 year old with those measurements , u guys are assessing me based on the pic so am simply trying to find out how accurate the picture’s interpretation of my physique is…no need to act the way he did, everybody else has been polite even when critizing me, yourself included and i have taken the advice
p.s: your post was very informative, i’d be glad if you shed light more on the whole illusion issue
My arms are an issue for me. How do i bring them up? Also from the pic would you say i have full muscle bellies or…

Train all bodyparts, strive to hit PRs pretty much every session, eat a lot (whenever you’re not too full to eat), sleep a lot.
It’s not harder than that. Yes you have abz, congrats brah, but you’d look a lot better with an extra 100 lbs of muscle.
Lots of good reading here: T - Competitive Bodybuilding - Forums - T Nation

You weigh how much?
You think everyone 100lbs heavier than you had to use steroids?
