switched around 2 days of training since im seeing star wars the last jedi tomorrow, so cant train long.

117,5kg 4x5 paused squats <
77,5kg 3x5 cgbp
singles with slingshot, up to 110kg, then 110kg x 6 reps with slingshot.

Then me and some other people did a slingshot bench off with 60kg
i got 27 reps, my friend got 6,5 (his 1rm is 70kg so…)
other 2 guys got 28, and 35.

All around, i had to little time to finish everything. A well.

was supposed to do a double at 162,5kg with squats, followed by a single of 165kg.

I failed at 160kg. Fucking nailed it bro.

Bench, was supposed to work up to 110kg for a single, missed at 107,5kg. FUCKING NAILED IT BRO…

Dealifts went ok, 165kg @ rpe 8,5
and all the backoff stuff was ok.

Mentally, i wasnt there. my application for photography school (first choice) got denied today. So yea.

Just one of those days. One bad workout is just that doesn’t really matter when we think of things in terms of a whole training phase or months or years. You’re were probably just distracted and not hyped enough for heavy singles and doubles.

Don’t know much about photography schools but you can always reapply? Are there alternatives or alternative pathways to wherever you want to go?

Yes, allready found a different school. Also way cheaper, but still good. So gonna check that out.

So, after friday idk. I kinda had a mental wall at the 160kg squat…
So i decided not to opt for the 167,5kg squat i wanted to do but call it a day at 162,5kg.
still fairly happy. One thing: When i squat infront of a mirror i go to deep. I needed to go a little less deep.

Squat:
single @rpe 8,5 162,5kg
Paused triple @ 137,5kg squat (long ass pauses. )

Bench:
Work up to a single @ rpe 9
Still having butt raise issues, did 107,5kg. Imma clench my ass hard as i can next time to keep it on that bench.
Dont wanna get reds on that…

Deadlift:
167,5kg @ rpe 8,5
Really wanted to do 170kg, or 172,5kg But i called it quits after 167,5kg. I think i had it in me, but better to just call it quits sometimes.

I suck at these. This is the hardest position for me in the deadlift. I think in january im gonna keep this in, and work the fuck out of that weak spot.

So. January is almost here, new programming.
I’ve bin working on a program together with someone who has a way better understanding off it then me.

pretty much what i’ve got atm as a “volume phase.”
Any opinions are welcome.

Also, can anyone who understands block periodisation explain it to me, or link me to a video that explains it simple? I have yet to find a good one.

Yesterday
Went into gym, elbow was feeling off since it was mostly bench stuff i just called it quits, did some band work and went home.
Started at a new internship this week since the old was absolute utter shit.

Eh, cant lift today so gonna do today’s stuff tomorrow.

Also, for anyone who reads my log: I wanna wish you all some good christmas days!
And the happy new year part comes when its the 31st…

I did a 200kg squat today to give my body a deload

was helping a friend with his squat form, did some banded squat
170kg x 1 @ rpe was that even 170kg?
190kg x 1 @ rpe idk didnt feel the weight until it was back in the rack
200kg x 1 @ rpe this was heavy, fuck 10kg is allot

Eh, i suspect im good for 180kg-190kg without bands.
200kg on the back feels good tho.
