i have used the dressings and the jellies. They are pretty good for a huge carb/calorie cut. I would recommend the jellies for sure as they dont carry the carbs and stuff. The dressings arent bad but after a while i stopped liking them so I use wishbone spritzers which are spray dressings at about 1 calorie per spritz and 2 carbs per 10. Those dress salads well. They jellies are a little more watery than regular jellies but trust me they do the trick. Just dont eat a whole jar or anything as labels are allowed to call up to 4 calories and 1 carb zero. Therefore each serving has trace calories but nothing with impact. They are a good product when dieting and cutting. I suggest them. The blueberry jelly is excellent and helps cure my sweet/fruit cravings with a little natural peanut butter.
It does sounds too good to be true. The blatant lack of nutritional/ingredient info leads me to believe it’s not all its cracked up to be. However if you do order some let us know what’s in it or how it tastes.

I bought some of the blue cheese dressing a while back and its still in my fridge almost unused. It definitely does not have the same flavor as a nice chunky blue cheese… but what was I expecting.
I’ve been hesitant to try anything else out they make, but might spring for the jellies now. The ketchup is also enticing…but it has a funny look to it.
Is the PButter spread is anything like real PB…I might just have to order some. Although I already eat a fair amount of regular PB, that would be a great substitute every once in a while.
What the fuck? Just eat real food food, people! And if you say something like “but real food has calories, and calories are bad” then I will be forced to shed a tear for T-Nation.
Come on, seriously? Calorie-free PB? What the hell is the point. Wow, this might be a new low…

Natural PB is great stuff and is good for you which is why I have some almost every day. Jellies and salad dressing or even chocolate syrup are nothing you need in your diet and are normally wasted calories(to me) that I could have had more protein or healthy fats instead.
Also for those people going low carb things like this allow you to still have some treats while still meeting your diet goals. Why should you have to choose between one or the other when you can have both with something like this?

I like dipping veggies in the caramel and marshmellow dip…and I’ve tried many of the dressings (and pancake syrup). Overall it’s ok. They all have a certain kind of chemical taste though.

I dont know who said calories were bad, or how you got that impression. There are people out there who cant eat everything they possibly want, wash it down with a 2 liter of soda and still maintain something that resembles a decent phsyique.
Maybe you have heard of Diet Coke? Its a substitute for those of us who want to drink soda but dont want the empty calories. I dont get to eat 5,000 calories a day and maintain my physique or else I would gladly do all of the above.
Peanut Butter is VERY high in calories, trust me, I know… I eat it every single day. But I have to limit my intake of it or else it could easily lead to a huge surplus over the weeks and months.
I could easily cover my salads in blue cheese dressing, my burgers in bbq sauce, my toast in jelly, and my pancakes in syrup… but these things add up to being a fat bastard over time and thats not something I’m interested in. Self control is the name of game if having a decent physique is important to you, and that means sacrificing calories in one area to add them up in another area. I’ll gladly spread some calorie free jelly onto some toast if it means I get to have a steak later on.
Eating food, lots of it, is paramount to the goals of many at T-Nation, but that doesnt mean you cant use substitutes like these to make eating cleaner a little easier.

word Lonnie.
think i’m gonna order me some BBQ and Ketchup, they better ship to ireland otherwise i’m gonna be steamed…
I agree they’re kinda wack to use normally. However, I found when dieting the jellies…while not the same as regular jelly, is enough to hold me over while I’m cutting. I view walden farms stuff as something to use while dieting to help stave off the craving a little bit without “cheating”. No one said calories are bad but this kinda stuff while again NOT THE SAME as normal stuff is good enough to get you by while cutting…which can be a powerful weapon to prevent relapse/ruining your diet. Just my $.02
The BBQ and the Ketchup were the two I was most interested in, let me know how they are when you get them.

Doh! How could I forget!? I used the BBQ for a period of time a month ago. It’s good stuff, guys. Out of all the Walden Farm products, this one tasted the most like the real thing IMO.
So I’d reccommend it if you’re craving some BBQ sauce.

Couldn’t wait. Had to order some. I really miss BBQ sauce! Got a descent variety of stuff so I’ll report back what I think of any of it.

Ok so I got my stuff in the mail the other day and although I probably won’t finish any of it anytime soon I was curious about some of the stuff they offered.
I can safely say that the best thing I ordered was by far the BBQ sauce. I got the Thick and Spicy one and I’ll probably order a few more different ones in the future.
The bacon ranch salad dressing was ok but of course it’s not like the real thing.
The Apple butter spread has a very strong cinnamon taste but isn’t bad.
The blueberry spread is pretty good on a piece of bread.
I got the dessert type dips since those aren’t anything I could ever incorporate into my diet normally. The chocolate dip is kind of like pudding. The first few bites are pretty good but after that you get a chemical aftertaste. The caramel dip was pretty good tasting. I didn’t really like the marshmallow dip much but I don’t like normal marshmallow dip so no surprise there.
I tried the peanut spread just for kicks and it wasn’t good at all.
I haven’t tried the ketchup spread yet but will soon. I also haven’t tried a few more spreads I ordered but overall it’s not too bad. I would of course prefer the real thing but for 4cal/1g carbs per serving they did a pretty good job.
Anyone else order stuff from there just to try it out? I’d be interested in hearing what some of the other salad dressing or spreads where like.
