List of Calorie Free Stuff

I think it’d be a good idea for us to make a list of calorie free condiments and whatnot. Especially for us that are dieting down and still want stuff to taste good!

So far I have:

I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter (Spray)

Frank’s Red Hot

And yeah, Thats all I have! Which is why I think we need to make a decent list of brands.

Please add more.

Any spices (salt, pepper, garlic, cinnamon, etc.)

Tobasco

Mustard

Splenda/Stevia/Sweet 'n Low/Nutrasweet (~3-5 cal per packet)

Air

Water

Sleep

Blue

House cat

actually im pretty sure that a “house cat” probably has a lot of calories

I’m a fan of these products, I use some of the sauces for dinner daily.

My last diet I ate a lot of broccoli and would either just put mustard or distilled vinegar on it. I stumbled on some calories free salad dressing, nearly $9 per bottle. It smelled great, but tasted like liquified dick and that’s saying a lot considering that I was comparing it to mustard. Do not recommend.

Molly Mcbutter!!!

Damn man, thats quite a find!

Keep em coming please

I practically live on the Molly McButter CHEESE SPRINKLES. Every time I see them in a store, I immediately put every last container into my cart -lol. Put 'em over my eggs, sprinkle 'em over raw veggies (then nuke for about 30-40 seconds), you name it!

Have you tried any of the Walden Farm dips or the chocolate sauce? How is the taste. It seems too good to be true, lol

I have only tried the sauces that work well on vegetables. Blue Cheese, ranch, asiatic, balsamic, french, etc.

They have very nice flavouring, and they use thickeners to simulate the fatty sensation masterfully. The blue cheese flavouring was good, but not as ‘full’ as one would expect from real blue cheese. Still great for a calorie free option.

The treat toppers, as well as the PB, are not available in the store I freqeunt, I have not tried them.

I guess the best example would be like switching from coke to diet coke, there is ‘something’ missing, but the tastes are damn close and eventually you don’t notice the difference at all.

Edit: I should add that the French is almost as thick as ketchup, and it tastes thick too. I imagine the PB would be even more so.

I’ve also tried a bunch of the Walden Farms stuff. They definitely have a chemical-y taste. I prefer to just use the spray-salad dressing in small amounts. The BBQ isn’t bad, but if you like hot sauce, you’ll at least feel like you’re eating normally. Their ‘PB SPread’ can’t be eaten like regular PB, but a small amount in a bowl of oatmeal (I’m doing that now a few times a week just for variety), will give you a small hint of PB flavoring.

i personally found the walden farms stuff to taste a little weird, Too chemical-y for me but some people seem to like it.

Costco?

I love the Walden Farms pancake syrup and the Honey Dijon dressing is ok but I gagged on the ranch flavor.

I use flavored vinegars, mustard and frank’s red hot.

I’m going to look for those cheese sprinkles the next time I go shopping so thanks Stu, I miss cheese. :frowning:

Don’t forget DaVinci’s sugar free syrups!

Frank’s red hot is great if you like to spice just about anything up.

Also, Frank’s + plain greek yogurt makes some of the best creamy buffalo sauce. Recommended especially for plain chicken breasts.

Balsamic vinegar is 5 calories a serving so practically free and I find if you pack it into a cheap spray bottle (dollar store variety) it creates a great way to dust any kinds of vegetables and salads.

be careful of butter/dressing sprays that claim to be calorie free. If each serving (1 spray) is under 5 calories, the FDA does not require them to say it has any calories.

I’ve never seen it there. Always had to find it in stores, and even ordered a case on a few occasions (which wasn’t expensive for the products, but the shipping was just stupidly too much)
