I chalked up my chest for log before, and the band kept tapping my chest each rep causing the chalk to billow up off me and I just kept inhaling the chalk unknowingly. Just vinny things.

Considering how long it’s been since I pressed on a barbell, this is REALLY good. Like REALLY good. Gonna keep the belt off for a while and throw it on and hit some absurd 1rm. 315 would be lovely but it sounds very heavy atm.

12/20/17 - Bw 223, so not sure if anyone watched the Official Strongman Games this last weekend but some pretty awesome shit happened. Zydrunas won the masters, but more importantly, for me, I watched two insane 105kg/231lbs’ers go head to head for the open world title.
Andrew Clayton is just ridiculous, he won the 105 class with like an 11 point lead or something? Nicolas Cambi took second. They both split jerked a 365lb log and Andrew barely edged Nick out with a 385 log for the win…at less than 231lbs!! So next time someone thinks me or Alpha have a strong overhead, recite that! Fucking unbelievable. I need to stop dicking around and step my shit up.

@Destrength Yeah, at the moment I’m just ramping everything back up with a nasty high volume taper. I need the rep work and it has been a long time since I’ve spent 8-12 weeks just building muscle and rep integrity back.

12/26/17 - bw 223 i’ve lost my bloat! yay. My adductor doms from squatting is so bad that I’m not sure if sore or injured. Rolled around on the floor doing mobility work like a retired pro wrestler doing DDP yoga. Ow.

100x25 right, 17 left yeah, can’t row more due to my left adductor being basically torn to pieces, It hurts beyond DOMS. Feels more like seriously damaged muscle tissue. This is pretty standard squat soreness for me.
Physically cannot perform any movement with substantial weight. It sounds like I’m being a pussy but I’ve partially torn my adductor before deadlifting 135 a few days after high volume squats.
I went to try and do pull ups but something felt weird in my bicep…sooo.
Walked straight out.

Eh, I’ve always gotten abnormal soreness in the left adductor due to my short leg. I just need to let it rest. Also learning to find ways to train that don’t involve the stability required by the inner thigh muscles will help too. Should have started the day with pull ups and then like inverted rows and other weird lifts. I’m not too worried.
