My favorite game of all time: Tecmo Super Bowl. You can even download it online and customize all the rosters. It’s still a great game.

Tomb Raider: Legend for the PS2 is a good game but it’s too short. When you’re finished the game you’ll ask yourself, “that’s it?” Then, you just see the credits scrolling down.[/quote]
I’m playing it on Xbox and so far it’s ok. I play maybe 30-60 minutes a few times a week, so even a short game has me busy for a while.
Got it used from a local gamestore for 5$, so no worry there. I have only 1 game I spent more than 20$ bucks on…
I’ll do that. I’ll have to make up my mind between the PS3 and the X360 first.
I’ll check it out. I played the first Prince of Persia, but got bored before the end.
Stealth games are pretty cool, although often time consuming (as you spend a lot of time hiding in shadows.) I recently played through “Stolen” which is a pretty underrated game (most reviews give it a 5 or 6), but I had a lot of fun with it. There’s no killing at all, at best you can knock out guard for a few minutes, so it really puts the emphasis on keeping a low profile.
Downloaded Blacksite Area 51 last nite on my 360…pretty awesome, the squad controls weren’t as advanced as GRAW or R6, but it was fun and looked great.
I think its a keeper once its released.
I also downloaded the Forza2 Demo, some nice improvements over the original Xbox version. I wish they had a dash cam though like Proj Gotham and that other racing game. But I cannot wait for the custom car stuff, I used to spend hours on vinyl and custom color combos.
The last Need4Speed had some cool customizable body kits that made some cool looking cars.
Keeping the games thread alive!!!
I just broke 8000 gamer points on my 360 last week!! Yeah Baby!! Any high scorers out there?
I played the crap outta Spidey 3 till I beat that mother!
I’ve been playing Oblivion for the past month and a 1/2 on and off. I finally am the Arch Mage of the Mage’s Guild!
Anyone else play Oblivion?
I wish I would have started with a Dark Elf, I didn’t know you could customize all the skin color and hair colors on it. My neighbor got an Elite so he is starting over so we made this wicked looking Dark Elf, looked amazing on his LCD with the HDMI.
How long must we wait for Army of Two?!!

Nerd LOL
That better be you in the avatar.
Anyway, wish I could play but I’m too cheap to buy a system. All I do is go to the arcade and play Street Fighter Third strike and MvC2.
Haha, yeah its me…the full size among others in my profile.
I’m a videogame junkie man! I don’t really even watch any tv, besides sports I guess. I do watch LOST for an hour on Wednesdays and thats about all. Hell a few buddies of mine network our 360’s together and call it Nerd Linking, but its fun being on a team of friends and take people out.
Ahh, just drop the coin on a system or spend some R&R with a buddy with a 360 and I bet you’ll be hooked as well! Unless you don’t think you’ll play it, but its kinda nice switching off life for a little bit and become someone else for a while!! Thats why I like these open ended games like Grand Theft.
I got my self re addicted to oblivion. It took me a while to be bothered after my 9 months travel and away from computer games.
I’m trying to balance out computer games, reading, work, exercise and social life. When I was a kid it was all games and some social life. That kinda sucks after a while.
Hell that’s what I’ve been doing. He just graduated, now I got to find new people with an XBOX 360.
But I’d say that in a year, I’ll probably break down and get a system. Or get one for x-mas. And then I’ll burn you in Fight Night or Halo 3.
Yeah, I said it.
GTA Vice City and San Andreas are great games.
Right now it’s Oblivion and call of duty 3 online when I have time.
Just starting to play the wii sports package. I’m looking for advice on what games for the wii are the coolest. I was reading about a website where you can actually get paid to test games. Anybody out there doing this?
I could use some extra cash. How about you? Check it out!
Curious as to what everyone’s plans are regarding the upcoming football game releases:
NCAA '08 looks really good and I like the trick play addition; hopefully it will be implemented well. The graphics look improved from last year’s version.
Madden is touting a bunch of new features, but after the poor releases the last 2 years, I’m real hesitant to buy '08…
…which leads me to All-Pro 2K8. No NFL license, but 2K has signed over 200 former NFL legends to appear in the game. I like the setup of how the legends fall into different tiers and you can only have so many players from each tier on your team. There’s no franchise, but there’s online leagues, and 2K’s gameplay, in my opinion, is better than Madden.
I’ll be getting NCAA for sure but will wait a bit on deciding between Madden and All-Pro.
Some news and notes:
I’m sure most have heard by now, but Sony’s dropped the price of their PS3 by $100.
Microsoft has extended the warranty on its 360 to 3 years. They’ve admitted to the manufacturing problem, which is nice to see for once a company owning up to its mistake. (knocking on wood) mine hasn’t had any problems yet, but it’s nice to know that if it does, I have an extra couple of years to get it fixed.
Anyone have Brothers in Arms for the DS? I’m real excited about it because this could be the first decent handheld shooter on the DS. Curious to hear what people’s opinions of the game are that do own it.
Blasphemy
No game could ever compare to Madden. Yes, Madden on 360 was HORRIBLE in looks and game play. But it takes time. All Pro will get stomped out.
Any news on another Fight Night?

I remember when NFL 2K came out for dreamcast, it was my favorite football game for such a long time.
I agree, the gameplay is awesome.

Madden is the worst Football series ever. We STILL play 2k5 despite have Madden '07 and NCAA '07. All Pro is going to STOMP Madden into the dirt.
Anyways. Assassin’s Creed. Looks to be absolutely amazing. Fallout 3 is also shaping up really well.
Halo 1
I’ve always been into PC games as opposed to consoles.
Some of my fav PC games are:
Max Payne
Serious Sam I and II
Deus Ex
Warcraft
Starcraft
I did enjoy my PS1 while I had it. I loved the Crash Bandicoot series as well as Gran Turismo.
I spent an entire summer playing Sega GT on the xbox I love that game.

Ren, you’re right on with 2K5. I still can’t believe they sold that for $19.99 right out of the gate.
I don’t think it’s a coincidence that the year after 2K5 was released that EA snatched up the exclusive NFL license. They knew they were lagging behind in the gameplay department and 2K’s visuals were starting to surpass them, so EA used it’s pocketbook and eliminated its competition.
And what’s happened to Madden since then? The franchise has sucked hard the last 2 years. The games are getting worse, not better.
Maybe 2K can inject some new life into the Madden producers and they’ll put forth a worthy effort. No way I’m paying full price for another Madden game, though, after getting burned the last 2 years just b/c I wanted an NFL game.
God of War 2 is straight crack. I’m glad I only rented it, otherwise I’d be playing all the time. The final scene is really cool and I can’t wait for part 3.
