Xbox 360 Fans

Alright, now I know that there is the Geek S**T thread that slightly mentions these games. But I would like a less cluttered look at what are the best game’s out for 360 right now.

So, has anyone played any of the following games- What would you rate them; worth the cash or not, good multiplayer, etc. (Also what are your favorite games not listed here)

-Fable 2
-Too Human
-Star Wars Force Unleashed
-Assassin’s Creed
-Mercenaries 2: World in Flames
-Destroy all Humans 3
-Far Cry 2
-Unreal Tournament 3
-Half Life 2; Orange Box

Basically, which of the above games would you get if you could only pick one?

I’ve played about half those games, and Assassin’s Creed is probably up top for me.

I got Fable 2 on Friday and so far I like it - I tend to get sick of most of these FPS.

If i could choose one, it’d be Half Life 2. The campaign isn’t boring and the set pieces are great. It uses the havoc physics engine well and overall game play is great. Orange Box brings u portal and team fortress, which is a great multiplayer. Also included are all half life games to date. This is first choice. Buy it.

Too Human I’ve played via demo and liked it, but friends and reviews all unanimously agree that it’s boring after a coupla hours, so i wouldn’t spend a lot on it.

Force Unleashed I’ve just completed this morning and i liked it a lot. The boss battles are challenging and there are small RPG elements in developing your character. I’d buy this also, but Orange Box will provide more hours of gameplay.

I didn’t like Assassins Creed at all, it was insanely repetitive and not remotely challenging.

Ah, what do you have to say to the people who say Assassin’s Creed is repetitive? Do you agree?

I was looking at Fable 2 also. I loved the original Fable, but I’m hesitant about the inclusion of guns in this one. I generally like either all sword gameplay, or all guns-futuristic. It just seems unbalanced when one guy has a sword, and another has a fucking gun lol.

apparently Fable 2 gets boring fairly quickly once the campaigns done with. As with any rpg based games, i’d recommend completin all teh side-quests.

I don’t have Xboxlive atm, would you still recommend Orange Box?

If it is anything like the original Fable, there are plenty of those to be had lol.

Also, if nothing else, its fun replaying for different skill sets. Magic/Range/Melee

If you aren’t familiar with the half life series buy orange box. It’s the entire collection including a special game called portal. It is the best deal out for the 360 out at 50 bucks or less.

Edit:
HOLEE SHIT GET ORANGE BOX!(also forgot that it has team fortress)

It does get a bit repetitive, but looking past that the attention to detail within the game is very impressive. The graphics are some of the best I’ve seen, the fight scenes are so awesome that even though I’ve completed the game, I still go back and have a go every now and then. It just seemed to be the type of game I enjoy - any game can get old if it’s not your thing or you play it too much.

absolutely. The Half Life campaigns alone will keep you going for a long time.

Of the ones listed I would go with Half Life. While not my favorite it has the most potential IMO. Assassins button combinations made it too challenging for me but I am an old man. Take Steel88s advice and fork out the extra cash for the orange box.

Do not forget Gears2 comes out in 2 weeks.

the guns in fable 2 arent over-powered, and i think they suit the feel of the game perfectly, im just pissed they put katanas in the game and not rapiers

more good games: guitar hero 3
gears of war
condemed

cant wait for: colonial marines
gears 2

and they have guns, with CHAINSAWS.

that is reason enough to buy it.

This is a pretty good thread… you guys should think about shifting over to the Geek S**T thread, you can’t go wrong.

As for new games, Dead Space is quite intense, as long as you play the way it’s supposed to - lights off, middle of the night, sound cranked.

Sarpedon, as in, Chapter Master of the Soul Drinkers?

If so, you are made of awesome and win.

I didn’t want to totally highjack it, and this is focused really on 360…Haven’t heard of dead space though also.

Of your list I have beaten Fable2, Too Human, Assassins Creed, and Half life 2. Ranked from best to worst in my opinion is Fable2, Half life2, Assassins Creed and Too Human.

I found Fable2 to be very enjoyable but with a very short main storyline, but even after I beat it I was not bored of the game, there is a lot to do. You should look into Gears of War 2(especially if you play online) and Fallout3 and/or Oblivion. I just finished Gears2 campaign and it was very good with a disappointing last boss(for those wondering, I have a modded xbox where I can download my games, being the reason I have Gears2 a few weeks early). I have not played Fallout3 yet but have heard only good things about it.

Cold and Fast Soul Drinkers.
By the Catechisms of Denaethos we shall deliver the Emperors swift vengeance!

=P

I thought Too Human is a terrible investment. I rented it, and I’d definitely say that’s as far as anyone should go with it.

Repetitive is an understatement, since you play the whole game with a joystick pushed out forward. Maybe slap a little double-forward action in there.

Who else?
