Your assertion doesn’t make sense. Just because he does one thing means he can’t do two?..
You tell me. Didn’t you just say the guy isn’t an artist because he doesn’t make his living that way?
maybe I read you wrong. If so, I am VERY sorry.

Does it really have to be explained that in my example art being a hobby is different from a second job?
? Bodybuilding for me is a “hobby”…that still defines a huge part of my life right now. The names are just labels. If you do something and are good at it or achieve above average results in it, you get to claim that for yourself as well.

Reagan was an actor AND a president. He didn’t do politics only at house parties with his friends and let them tell him you would make a great president. He campaigned, debated, competed, and won. This hypothetical person your speaking of never did that for his bodybuilding sport.
? Who? This thread is about Vic Richards. I am pretty sure he did way more for the sport than many guys who have become IFBB pros simply because of how well known he is. The point was that what you do in your spare time may just make up the most about you…even if you have a job as something else.

Can you say that someone who has never stepped on a bodybuilding stage, competed?
? No.
If he stepped on a Pro stage you call him a pro bodybuilder
Uh, yes.
, if you step on amateur stage stage you are an amateur bodybuilder,
Your point?
if you step on no stage you are a no bodybuilder.
? You are a NON COMPETITIVE BODYBUILDER.
Gee, look at that…words mean something.

You can be a hobbyist or something.
Something like a NONCOMPETITIVE BODYBUILDER
? I wrote songs. That makes me a song writer. A writer doesn’t have to be published to be a writer.
