V-Diet Log (HogLover)

11.21.06 (Day ???)

Ok, I’ve lost track which day I’m on but I’m hanging in there and weighing in around 187 lbs. still. I need to up my gym activity and get more consistent with that. With school, family, and the holidays I’ve been doing good to stick on my shake schedule.

I’m sure once I get more consistent with cardio and lifting that the weight will start to drop again. Just gotta get through this week’s classes, tests, and holiday meals.

11.22.06 (Day 17)

Weight hasn’t moved in a few days but I’ll try and not pay too much attention to that. I’m definitely weaker in the gym. I was shocked when I did bench press the other day and struggled with weight that I typically don’t even think about. I’d say my bench has dropped by about 40 lbs.

Not too much longer to go on this thing. Looking forward to transitioning off. I’ve only lost 8 lbs. to date so I’m a little disappointed but what are ya going to do?

Don’t pay too much attention to the scale, it started driving me crazy. I didn’t ‘lose’ any weight in the 2nd or 3rd week of my v-diet, yet the mirror said otherwise. I look much leaner, my abs are starting to take shape for the first time in my life. I don’t know whether it’s typical, but I felt really weak the 2nd week and very strong the 3rd and 4th.

I finished my diet on Monday and I’m transitioning off now. Not as lean as I thought I’d be, 12 pounds off in 4 weeks. While not as much as some others, definitely the fastest I’ve ever experienced in my anti-fatboy crusade. I think it’s just that I was a lot fatter than I thought or wanted to admit. The body fat caliper isn’t too accurate when you’re above 20% it seems.

I might have another go at it again after a transition period and a break. I think it’ll be more effective the second time with a little more experience about what to expect and without the little mistakes here and there.

Anyways, keep at it. Good luck.

I totally sabotaged my diet today. We’re not even gonna talk about it. Just gotta get back on the horse.

Did you get back on or did the horse buck you off completely?

Oh no… I’m back on. I’m definetly back on.

OK, after a few days of being mentally weak and stubborn I believe I’m back in the “fold”.

Still losing the weight gained back during Thanksgiving but it is coming back off so I’m good. My motivation and drive to stick to this thing was waining but then I watched the Biggest Loser last night and I was inspired. I know… I know… I’m almost embarrassed to admit that I love that show but I do. I’m neither a fitness retard or huge like the people on this show but I love seeing people overcome enormous obstacles (being fat) in their lives.

Anyway… I weight in at 191 lbs. this morning. So I’m like 4 lbs away from my pre-Thanksgiving mark. I’m gonna stay on this diet through next week.

Don’t be embarrassed, I love that show too. I just wish I could have called the four contestants going home to finish next week and tell them about the V-Diet. Whichever one of them did it 100% would certainly win the competition.

I wonder if any of the contestants have ever seen T-Nation?

I seriously doubt that they have. Most of them haven’t seen a weight.
