Uneven Strength

I am starting to notice that my right arm is not getting a good workout like my left arm is. I can do 10 curls with my right arm with a certain weight, and with my left, I’d have to help it get to 10 because its weaker. I seen a post similar to this but I’m not sure where it is. Should I go to failure with my right and left arms, just so my right would get a proper workout?

Maybe do an extra set or 2 of right arm, or maybe dont do as much with your left arm, lower the weight, lots of thing to do, but trust me, it takes a while to get everything equal.

Do some more with the weaker arm to even out the strength. Don’t worry if you work at it that problem will go away. I know because I used to have that problem.

Do a combination of unilateral and bilateral work. It’ll work itself out. Just make sure you aren’t concentrating more on your dominant side during the bilateral exercises (which tends to happen naturally).

I think my left arm is a little bigger because I can notice a difference in the bicep a little. Its a tad bit fuller than my right arm. I forgot to mention that. I get what you guys are saying and I’ll do that starting my next workouts. Thanks.

Always work the weaker arm first, going until failure. Then just let your stronger arm match that.

Use dumbells. As soon as you reach failure in one arm, stop. LankyMofo’s suggestion is good too.

id agree with this. I wouldnt start messing aroudn with more sets for the weaker side. Do the reps for the weaker side first then MATCH with the dominate arm. Even when working bilaterally work until the left arm reaches failure, no when your form goes to shit and your ROM lessons.
