Uneven pecs: Bad genetics or fixable?


I know i’m a noobie and have a small chest, but what bothers me is that the pecs are uneven. The right pec is smaller and seems to be inserted a bit higher than the left one. Is this bad genetics or can i do something to even out the pecs and fill out the right one and match the left side.

Thanks for any responses. I know i’m small as I have just started so please helpful comments only.

Add more mass and stop overthinking it.

Unless you plan on stepping on stage for competition …stop overthinking it.

What pecs?

I’m not trying to be an asshole, it’s just sometimes we dwell on something about our own bodies that others don’t even notice. Most people are slightly bigger on their dominant hand side.

Keep hitting the weights and eating and don’t worry about it.

Agree. Physique looks raw and untrained from pics.

Lol i know i currently don’t have pecs. And i also know that muscle imbalances are common as well favouring the dominant side. That’s why I’m curious why my right chest is smaller when I’m right handed.

I’m not particularly off put by the fact that one side looks bigger. I’m just curious. The left rib cage also feels like its set slightly more outward than the right one. I guess i was just asking if this is common

You’re wasting your time worrying about this. Now the ratio of your wrist to chest circumference is much more important. Go measure that ASAP and report back please.

Get off the forum and go lift heavy

The single best cure for all symmetry problems is build more muscle everywhere.

In other words, lift weights, particularly compound exercises and eat more protein.

In addition to the above advice, try stretching. My pecs are even but sometimes I get tight in my left shoulder and traps and it pulls my left pec tight. A little soft tissue work and stretching lets everything relax back in to its normal place.

But mostly build some muscle so you actually know what your muscles look like.
