Under 200 lbs Progress/Update Thread

Pulled 405x2 Back issues in the past have limited the amount DL training I’ve done. Back feels good and this was a really easy lift.

1005lb reverse band squat attempt(1005lbs at top) in metal ace suit on wed. it’s almost there, just a few tweaks and a little more time and it’ll go. bodyweight was 202lbs so i’m not sure if it counts in this thread anymore though lol. vid is uploading in the last page of my log, vid is so large it’s to much of a pain in the ass to try to upload twice.

Get at it 2-scoops! Also you’re fat. 2 lbs over 200, jeeze.

As a side note I hit an easy 525 (at the top) rev band squat for a triple last night.

Competed in USAPL raw nats today. Weighed in at 126 pounds (way undershot again =/) Finished the day with a 260 squat, 182 bench, and 407 deadlift in the 132 class for an 849 total. The squat was a disappointment but the 407 pull was a huge milestone for me. Next stop, moving up to the 148s!

^^^Nice job^^^
Is that the national record you wanted?

As for me

100% RAW Nationals August 6th.
At a body weight of 144
385 squat world record (in 100% RAW anyway)
230 bench press (I was very dissapointed)
451 deadlift state record
1069 total state record
I won an awesome axe for best lifter.

Damn, you lightweight guys are strong.

I hate you so, so much.

jk.

First day lifting in new multimillion dollar gym. Am in love. Also, I need to get some bands now, seeing as I’m gonna do westside and now actually have racks with band pegs.

What bands would I need for:
264 bench
446 squat
502 deadlift

All raw, competition maxes.

2x of the following from EFS
Short minis (red ones but not the micros) - good for DE benching, deadlifting against bands, banded squats (no bar just abductor work).

Short avg (silver) - speed deadlifting

Regular length Long (orange) - rev band bench

Regular length avg or strong (silver or black) rev band squat or rev band deadlift

1 regular length mini (red) - great for shoulder mobility, flossing joints etc.

Thanks. I went to the gym again today and noticed most of the racks have some bands for us to use already. Imma test them out and see how they do for me.

damn those are great lifts

as for the record, it would have been if I had entered in the collegiate division but I entered in the juniors and got smoked by a kid who pulled in the 450 region and basically rewrote the record book in that division. Regardless I’m satisfied and I’m gonna take some shots at being a top end junior/collegiate competitor in the 145 class when USAPL adopts the IPF’s new weight classes. Thanks for asking!

pretty excited, hit a 765 raw squat last night. that will be the highest 198 raw squat with wraps ever if i can do it at my comp in november. i will have vid up later.

Fricken ridiculous! Nice man!

Pulled 425 @ about 142 the other day. Seeking 3x myself in my new weight class soon

New here so sorry about being so late joining this thread:

BW: 64KG

Best Gym Lift/Best Comp Lift

Squat: 172.5kg/170kg
Bench Press: 105kg/102.5kg
Deadlift 190kg/185kg
Best Total: 447.5kg

Currently training for Commonwealth Powerlifting Championships (IPF rules) in December

Late to chime in on this thread. And to preface, I am just getting back into competing after “retiring” 6 years ago, and then I was pretty much a bench specialist. So, with that said, my raw numbers right now:

BW- 188
Squat - 425 no belt, no wraps
bench - 415 (sounds crazy, but this is dissapointing to me, 40lbs under what i finished at as a 165)
dead - 435 no belt

Working hard on my squat and deads.

Damn impressive bench - even if you’re disappointed in it. What do you feel was the best thing for your bench? I find that at times, technical stuff for the bigger guys doesn’t always carry over as much to the smaller guys due to the drastic change in leverages. Hell I can tell a huge difference in leverages when I sit around 200 versus 181 and how much more I have to press it.

My benching programming has always been much simpler than most. I think weighted dips have always been one of my biggest helpers, or at least a good gauge as to where my bench is. After taking 6 years off from training like this though, I am still trying to get my volume/weight ratio worked out. I used to do crazy volume, like 10 sets of 3 around 90-92% on flat bench for up to 12 weeks, but being 32 now, I just cannot do that anymore. My ME work is always flat bench, no frills, followed by a 2 or 3 board press. I have not gotten back into bands and chains yet, I am waiting until my progression slows down before tossing them back in. I have been back in PL mode since about July.

Hello,

my deadlift on Oct 22 made the powerlifting watch highlight apparently.
