(Un)Official 2025 T-ransformation Challenge

I will try again in 2025

Had a good start last year with this but lost steam after the challenge ended due to work and some personal issues, but been consistent the past 2 months and hoping to build off this and lose an additional 25-30 pounds in 2025

One question if we have a log already can we just add the tags or would we need to start a new log?

Just add the new tag

Alright that time of year where I take completely relaxed photos and post then online for the world to see… deeply unpleasant and humbling.

There we are, no pump, no flex, no faux “relaxed” - just pure motivation!

208lbs - 6’2 - 38 years old.

Transformation challenge: Definition. Get BF down to 12%. Currently 19%. Want to get rid of those love handles and have better endurance.

t-ransformation2025 @TrainForPain This is my official entry.

I like that you’re saving the “faux relaxed” for the back half of the transformation, veteran move!

Ok @simo74 you win - I’m in.

Goal is to get stronger on the clean & press and I’m gonna keep doing it damn near everyday to get there. I think I’m still pretty skinny even though I’ve gained a few lbs since this time last year - I think my frame can handle a few more.

Diet wise- lots of meat, eggs, dairy, fruits and veggies. Probably some protein shakes too. I’ve let some grains sneak back in there but I want to clean that up.

Alright time to put my money where my mouth is. Off on vacation for 2 weeks on Friday so won’t be much training till the new year. Training will be strength focused but will try and tidy up and add some shape while I am getting stronger.

How did we add the T-ransformation tag again to our log?

Here are my starting pictures.
140lb, 5’8"
Out of shape after a massive shoulder injury (dislocated collar bone that needed surgery) and a partial knee tendon tear

This year goal: no breaking anything and get back in some kind of shape.

I’m in. Fattest I have been in probably 8 years.

Currently 268, naval a little over 42”.
Goal 248, naval under 40” attainable by Memorial Day.

Year goal, bump 235 and settle in at the low 240s. I haven’t been in the 240s since I started TRT, but I used to live here.

Doing my first powerlifting competition in March so losing a bunch of weight doesn’t really match that goal but I need to drop a ton of fat so that’s the goal.

Currently bench, from today was 255 for 3, Deads was 495, from last Friday, and squat is around 350ish. Knees are my limiting issue on squats. All cartilage has left the chat.

I’m in. @TrainForPain (updated photo)

For 2025, the goal is to reduce waist to 33" by the Memorial Day weekend (currently 34"). This would probably represent a loss of about 10-15 lbs in scale weight and a bodyfat of around 13%-15% or so.

The other primary goal is successful shoulder surgery in Q1 and a successful recovery by the end of Q2 (end of June). Among other factors, I’m defining success as being able to do horizontal pressing with a neutral grip pain (and popping) free. Ideally, this will set me up to return to jiu-jitsu in the second half of 2025.

The third goal is to increase squatting strength. Current top set in my program is 225 lbs for a single. I’d like to like to be able to squat 270 lbs for a single by the end of the Transformation, with a goal of doing 315 lbs for a single by the end of the year. My all-time PR in the squat (from December 2018 or so, I think) was just shy of three plates and I’d love to get that back.

In it to win it or at least not win a corpulence prize!

Sitting somewhere a bit above 270 (123kg ish) now, would like to be somewhere between 245-255 at the end of this, if for no other reason than to lessen the stress on the joints.

Coming back from a shoulder separation and not super close to 100% but that shouldn’t hurt my progress too much.

Still pretty soft up top but quads are vascular :man_shrugging:

Pics are rolling in! We’ve got about a week left to load up our “before” team - let’s keep them coming!

Someone from a different team at work today was asking about me, couldn’t remember my name and referred to me as the guy who looks like a buff lorax.

I think I’ve reached my zenith.

Aight starting photos, here we go.

I don’t really have any clearly defined goals this year beyond try to train consistently while settling in to the role of Dad.

Finishing this 12ish week hypertrophy 2.0 program is as good a start as any. I wouldn’t mind bigger chest and shoulders.

36 (37 in Feb)
5 foot 9
82.5kg

If I can be in good enough shape to kick the shit out of someone a decade younger than me that’s always nice too

Ok. I have a new goal. Look half as ripped as Kleinhound’s before photos. :joy::+1:

Weighing sub 190 regularly but feeling good. I’ve strung together 3 weeks of very consistent and promising lifting so far. My main goal is just to keep up the consistency in diet and lifting.

Okay, here’s my current fatass before pics. I’ve been training consistently for over a month now, and I can definitely feel a difference, and I can see that there’s still muscle under there. Performance goal is to get to under a 30 minute 5k within the next 3 months, and composition goal is to get under 200#, although more is better. I’ll weigh in tomorrow morning fasted and use that as my starting point. Also pardon my wife’s changing room, that’s the only long mirror in the house.

Edit: weigh in morning of 12/30/24: 212.4#.

Am I too late? I’ve been struggling a lot with work in last months, and didn’t even log in, lol. Tomorrow I will post my starting picture :slightly_smiling_face:
