Been maintaining goal weight and getting stronger. Recovery has been pretty impressive despite high stress.
Team… it’s time!
Start dropping me your after pictures. Tag me and get them in by Thursday. I’ll make a longer post tomorrow tagging everyone that has a before pic too.
Also leave a nomination for your “MVP” - who was most helpful to you on your journey.
I’ll get our voting thread together on Friday.
Let’s see the fruit of your incredible labors!
I hear you. I’ve injured my shoulders four times in the past four years. At its worst, I’ve even had to be careful of heavy curling.
Did my first ‘shoulders day’ in 6 weeks yesterday, didn’t go crazy on the weights but definitely on the mend and getting stronger again. BPC-157 has definitely helped
So Thursday this week or Thursday next week?
Out traveling all week. Nothing to show anyway, but taking a full frontal is going to be hard where I’m staying. I’ll try to get something up for the sake of Completeness but I’m proud to say this:
I didn’t miss a workout in all of 2024, have been very active outside the gym, ate pretty healthy, and took good care of my family.
My photo isn’t competitive and i look like a sack of yogurt compared to you studs, but I’m ok with what I have going on right now.
Yargh! I think my issue is I had the original Memorial Day date wrong.
I screwed that up. I don’t want to mess anyone’s timing up. What should we do? Send in afters any time in the next two weeks?
+1
So i can get to a mirror
Sticking with May 30. Easy fix. I’ll send out the official reminder later.
Anyone that wants to go ahead and get their pics in so they can blow it out Memorial Day weekend, that’s cool too.
Updates:
Got 4 sets of 10 of unbroken hand stand push ups today! PR for me.
As far as diet/physique, really just chugging along. Nothing spectacular, but staying pretty consistent.
Workouts have shifted to pretty much only CF and emulating that style when I’m doing workouts in my garage. I often toy with the idea of combining it with more of a 531/Tactical Barbell strength approach and more running, but for whatever reason I’m more motivated with the CF workouts. Also, I haven’t felt this good - in terms of being injury-free and always feeling fresh - since I don’t even remember when. I’ve found that adding the “optional” accessory work they prescribe to the evenings helps with physique goals (and adding non-taxing daily work, like 100 push ups and ab/core work), from the vanity perspective, and the WODs keep my conditioning up.
I had planned on snapping some physique updates here and there, but never seem to get around to it so I’ll just hold off now until the finish line.
Great call, this last week was not going to have me finishing strong.
I can lose 20lbs in 10 days, right?!
That’s loosely my plan, haha. I just need 8lbs though, so should be easy-peasy. ![]()
Which isn’t actually too far from this: Velocity Diet Plan
And both were discussed in the forums here: Rapid Fat Loss vs. V-Diet
(Obviously make the smart decisions for your own health… just pointing out the info.)
One time, in my 30’s, I did a juice fast for 10 days. I followed a protocol, where it gave you the juices to make and drink each day. Lots of cleaning a juicer and cutting up produce, I recall. I didn’t lose 20 lbs, but I did lose something like 12. (Not saying you should do this, but it reminded me of when I did this).
I don’t want to speak for @EmilyQ, but I think this may be our ticket to success! Juice and protein powder fast sounds like the solution. Anything! For! Beauty!
FOR BEAUTY! FOR BEAUTY! FOR BEAUTY!
I’ll start right after dinner. Or…in the morning, maybe.
I lost 14 lbs in a day to make weight once. That’s been a long time and I still remember it, so it was an impact.
I’ll use my photo from above, unless I get crazy I the next few days and try to do a water cut
but I highly doubt it
I’m just really glad I never had to cut weight like that.
