(Un)Official 2024 T-ransformation Challenge

It’s likely that the only tan skin I’ll have is what doesn’t touch my work shirt until the middle of August, haha.

I’ve given into the fact I’m full on see through or farmer tan 99.9% of my life.

Last ~10 days or so, everyone! What’s the plan?

I’ll post a reminder of the final pic instructions by Monday. How are we going to make them look awesome?

It’s been fun to watch everyone’s progress in this thread. I’ve had a couple of injuries which have pushed me back this year so far (lower back and then shoulder), but im happy to have maintained and added a couple of lbs of muscle while keeping body composition intact considering injuries have limited my workout effectiveness.

Shoulder is getting better and stronger again (I’m site injecting BPC-157 and it seems to be helping the healing process), I have some sort of muscle tear but not rotator cuff according to my orthopedic guy. Shoulder tears SUCK. It limits chest and obviously and shoulder workouts and has impacted my overall mobility a lot, but in about 6 weeks in and getting range of motion back. Doing hangs to stretch it out before workout and just trying to increment back up (though at only 50% of my previous regular weight levels).

Flipping the script! Nice

Way to stay in it and control what you can! That’s tough to do

Fixed that for me

Here is the plan for the next 9 hours. After that, not eat grapes.

Adding two a days at jiu jitsu. Hit six 6 minute rounds this morning before work. Had 6 last night and 6 more tonight. Ends up being 42 minutes straight of trying to breathe, while your opponent is doing everything they can to stop you from breathing.

Challenge goals achieved for this year.

Weight up to 84.5kg (consistent BW PR)
Run times all decreasing
Strength increasing
Quads, delts and calves seem to be where the mass has gone.

Turned 36 and forgot to get real. Y’all in trouble if I ever start TRT :joy:

Was there ever any doubt?!

Looking fantastic as ever!

Every time I read this kind of stuff it makes me feel like being the colour of a 16th Century Monarch is the biggest thing hindering my gains.

Fellow Brit joining you in having terrible gains solely based on the weather.

We do have the benefit of not having to worry about being lean as much because there are only 3-4 days in a year where it’s warm enough to need to take the top off!

And I feel I’ve grown out of beach holidays. Take me to Scandinavia.

Sincerely, Mr Pale.

Haha that’s definitely my excuse for never seeing my abs.

I’ve not had a proper holiday since pre-covid (went for a stag do in Vancouver), right now I think I’d only be fit for collapsing on a beach, I live about 5 mins from the beach, and I’d still take a holiday on the beach, mainly the almost guaranteed weather though.

To get this back on topic, I’m pretty sure I’m the same weight and less defined than when I started, is there a most regressed category I can win?

@T3hPwnisher has got you

Pretty sure that wasn’t for regression, just for going full Bruce Randall, which I can’t say I’ve managed to achieve either!

I couldn’t stop eating last night after a drop during the week, and was up half a pound this morning. It’s fine - I woke up hungry this morning, and I know my metabolism is humming along. @simo74 made the point yesterday in my log, when I noted that I’ve been at the same weight since mid-April, that I’ve been adding muscle. He’s right. I’m after both leaner and stronger, but it’s hard to serve both masters at the same time, at least as a female who turned 60 last month. Yesterday @T3hPwnisher mentioned “keep the goal the goal” again, and it caught my attention relative to my own progress or lack thereof.

So this morning I read through my posts in this thread, and discovered that in fact I have done pretty well at keeping the goal the goal, though I will fall well short of the 20lb loss I hoped for at the beginning.

At the start:

And then April 8th, changing up the workouts as planned in the beginning (April 1 was my loose plan for this at the start):

And voila, the April change from weight loss to muscle gain. I’m getting ready to lift, and will be using these, which are new. This is the third such purchase I’ve had to make since the beginning of April. Next will have to be a barbell, because DB’s will only cut it for so long.

I loved this post @EmilyQ . Listening to you talk through how you have gone vs your goals and how positive you are for the future is so motivating. Excellent job.
