Oh come on man you can’t get calves and forearms!

Love the t-shirt.

I don’t know if Livesore is some kind of Aussie reference I don’t understand or if it’s referring to being crazy sore every day, which I find to be relatable! Either way, sweet gunz! “It’s not about the design on the shirt, it’s about the size of the pipes popping through the sleeves”.

Damn those forearm veins are freaky! Your forearms are as big as my upper arms mate.

Livesore is a local Melbourne based company. They sell gym apparel and support a lot of the local powerlifting and strongman competitions. I have gotten to know the owner pretty well over the last few years.
Livesore is exactly that, living sore to be the best you can be

Love it. Words to live by!

How’s everyone doing? This is about the time when the novelty wears off and the habits have to carry us. Anyone need a boost?

I’m just now getting warmed up

Though not participating officially, I’m with ya’ll in spirit, and am working QUITE hard toward my transformation.

I don’t want to turn any stomachs by posting the cuisine that is fueling all of this, but it’s over in my log for those that are interested.

I fell off my various wagons over the weekend (alcohol x 2, lava cake w/ whipped cream x 1) but am back on task now. Other than that calories have been on target, weight loss painfully slow.

The irregular heart beat has stopped completely.

I’m having a hard time getting my protein in, so am working on that currently.

Jumping off a wagon is great plyometrics, and chasing after it is fantastic conditioning work! Pulling yourself back up on it is like a muscle-up. You’ve got this!

This is fantastic!

Edit: well, assuming it went back to beating. I guess it could also be poor news, but since the post was autobiographical I assumed away the adverse outcome.

Started on new programme with coach. He took my volume down quite a bit. And increased deadlift frequency.

Hopefully this will work

Only the second week of this hypertrohpy block but I would say its goung pretty well.

hit 11 reps at 122.5KG (270 lbs) on the SSB squat last night and backed it up with a set of 30 reps at 155lbs on the straight bar. My legs hate me

That’s solid! Why switch bars?

That’s a good question. I think its mostly just cause that is how I wrote it down. I find that the SSB hits my quads more but also by the end of an amrap set my lower back does a fair bit of work. Doing high rep squats with the straight bar after allows me to use some other posterior chain muscles and get a full lower body hit. Also for me I find straight bar squat a lot more natural movement.
