(Un)Official 2023 T-ransformation Challenge

But there is Super Squats and chocolate milk! How can you pass a chance like that up?

Yup! If you can’t win first place, win last place! Fail better than anyone else has ever failed before!

@TrainForPain Loved that video from Brian! That’s exactly my approach with body changes. I can’t count stuff or else I’ll obsess, but it’s so easy to just vector toward gaining or losing with simple lifestyle changes.

@rugby_lifting, et. al.

Let’s not forget there’s two (really three) winners, and I didn’t prioritize either. If you’re not the most transformed, be the best teammate. That’s the same level of “win,” I’m sending the same prize, and this is all about community anyway. The more of us that shares this experience, the better it will be for everyone.

Not to mention the “fail spectacularly” option.

I get this.

I’ll never change more than I already have.

Same here. But what the hell, it’s worth a shot!

But now you can better help others!

But I do get it. I was all in one year, and then it was hard to give it that same effort again

Winning or crashing horrifically is the Ricky Bobby way. I approve.

I like how he depicts the number 2 with the “Rock on” symbol :metal:. I believe everything he says because of that. Jk, but seriously. I just read a podcast preview of an interview with him. He seems to have a sort of incredible back story. I look forward to listening to it.

Alsruhe? Very impressive individual. He was “Alpha” on here if you’re trying to look up old training logs, which I’d highly recommend. His website is neversate. If you’re into it, a lot of folks on here have had incredible success with his programs. I buy his $25 ebooks every time they come out just because I think he’s a cool dude and I respect his background - they are worth every penny.

Now, that’s not to say you should change your training. If I remember right, you are progressing currently - never change while still progressing!

My kids get these all the time and I usually eat half of them. Frozen is the only way to go.

Yes, Alsruhe. I am at the stage of accumulating information right now so I’m just consuming books/podcasts/forum posts/etc. I am not looking to change my training. It fits my goals/lifestyle/abilities at the moment and so I’m locked in until I have finished the full program. I appreciate the concern and accountability!

Definitely in. Looking forward to this as a great first big introduction to the t-nation community for me.

Plus I’ve already been planning on doing this. Been enjoying coming up with recipes for cutting weight. (cutting weight is the one transformation that I’ve never really pulled off correctly haha)

If the forum is willing to go back to year one of the challenge, I’d be a contender for consistency. I’ve cut, I’ve bulked, I’ve cut again. At the end of the day, I weigh between 225 and 235 with a slight variation in body comp.

On the plus side, I might be stronger in at least one lift now than I was a few years ago.

I didn’t know this was a thing, where is my prize. LOL

No prizes yet. I think we have to wait another 10-20 years. Even then, we just get to say I told you so.

After 20 years I can finally blame my wrist circumference for the reason I don’t like like a professional bodybuilder.
