Alright, my friends - feels like good timing to gauge some interest. @T3hPwnisher just dropped a physical transformation e-book in his blog, we’ve got an impressive amount of trash talk going on in the forum, and we’re rolling (pun intended) into the best week in America to build a “before” picture.
I’m throwing out a poll: who wants to do the T-ransformation in 2026? You’ll see a couple options - obviously if you choose to call someone out, make a post tagging them and letting them know. If you’ve done these in the past, and have some recommendations for any tweaks you’d like to see, let me know that too. I can’t promise I’ll implement all ideas (I still haven’t figured out a way to reward those of us whose goal is to get fatter), but I’ll definitely consider them.
On to the poll!
I’m in!
I’m in, and I’m calling someone out!
I could be in, given enough peer pressure…
I think I’m not up for it, but I might post pics right at deadline
Aw you beat me to it as well, great minds think alike.
@TrainForPain I’m not sure if I want to participate this year since a visual transformation isn’t quite what I’m working on atm but I love everything about this challenge. I’m still trying to push the scale up and get better numbers on a bunch of lifts right now but I could definitely see myself leaning out a bit in 2027 after a 2026 of building.
I think you are still clear to post a video of a lift before the challenge and at the end and call that your transformation. Let it stand on its own merit and be judged.
Like, if you go from a 200lb squat to a 500lb squat in 6 months, I am going to vote that as my #1 irrespective of anyone else’s appearance change. And if you gained 100lbs in 6 months to achieve that: that’s even cooler.
I’ve never shown much visual progress, but it’s fun to chase “transformation” as a group even if it means different things to each of us. And I think among the different goal types there will be several people to measure against, who offer inspiration and maybe competition.
@unicornsandrainbows did profoundly change her physique last round, but why I considered voting for her was the sheer volume of work she’d taken on. It was super impressive.
This, wholeheartedly. We tend to vote whoever gets the leanest, because that’s easy to measure, but I think we’ve always been purposefully ambiguous on any transformation criteria.
In fact, show me someone that goes from powerlifting to completing an Ironman during this timeframe, and my vote is a given.
