@TrainForPain This won’t be the first time I’ve been reborn!
@ChickenLittle Thanks! And peanut butter on burgers is delicious! People get so weird about it, but peanut sauce on meat is a treat for anyone who takes on thai food. I’ve enjoyed sunflower seed butter as well.
Years ago I ate a lot of peanut butter trying to gain weight. My body has developed an aversion to it. I can eat peanuts but if I eat peanut butter I start to belch in less than 5 mins. It’s crazy, I know.
In January I cut out all grains M-F but the weekend pizzas kept weight pretty steady. Also haven’t tracked a workout since December, just going by feel. March is where the real transformation began:
No grains expect on 3 occasions. Increased fruit and veggie intake by an absurd amount with it being almost exclusively organic
Stopped smoking weed. This has been something I’ve struggled with trying to quit for a while but the past couple months have been pretty easy to get through without it
Daily cold plunges. Usually for 2 mins give or take 1 minute at 40 degrees F.
Daily walks. Once to twice on weekdays, 3-4 times on weekends for 2-5 miles at a time.
Overall expenditure is trending nicely, I expect to have another good update in August for the check in, especially as it gets nice enough for mountain biking.
Pretty happy with how things went despite only losing 4 or so pounds. Lot of lifestyle changes I plan on continuing and building on. Ready to eat more, log workouts, and get back on the grind!
How long do you give it before you decide fat loss has stalled and it’s time to make adjustments to training or diet?
I started the V-Diet about 16 days ago. I lost seven pounds in the first ten days, but the scale hasn’t budged since. Mathematically, I don’t see how I can’t be losing weight, but the scale says otherwise.
One thing I noticed while just finishing up the velocity diet is that my weight dropped pretty dramatically in the first week, and I then stopped weighing myself for the rest of the 3ish weeks. I weighed myself out of curiosity last night after being a couple days removed from being strict on the diet (I’m still drinking shakes throughout the day). While my weight hasn’t really changed at all since that first week at the beginning of the diet, I am still leaning up.
