I’m on Day 9. It gets easier. When you’re not sticking to it, where specifically are you failing to stick to it?
I basically had tennis elbow (cant remember fancy name). Saw a physio for a few weeks and modified my training to reduce the high volume movements and change some movements that effected that area. It isn’t 100% but mostly painless now. 2 week holiday where i did nothing helped.
About day 4 or so was where I got really hungry. You can do it! Timing the shakes helped me a lot… I tended to move them later in the day so I was doing a couple pretty close to each other.
When you fall off, just pick back up. @T3hPwnisher had significantly better results than I did while eating meals here and there (I’d imagine he put a bigger H in his HSM than I did).
Hungry at night and munching on what I made my family for dinner instead of just the HSM
Dan John living rent free in all our heads.
I find the mid afternoon the hardest. Waiting for HSM is tough but I’m okay after that. We all have our specific challenges with it and it ain’t easy.
Thanks Simo! Still have a ways to go.
may as well enjoy the journey then.
This is EXACTLY why I wrote about having 2 diets.
Ok, so you didn’t stick with the velocity diet 100% today.
Did you stay paleo? Or keto? Or abide by some other principle?
If so: still a win.
Does the seefood diet count as a principle ![]()
Absolutely! I offered up a reward for just that at the start of this but had no takers.
Unfortunately I had a comp with a weight class otherwise I may well have jumped in with both hands
I’d imagine a lot of folks were also living into two challenges, and you’ll have takers at the end.
As is the case, if you want it done right, you have to do it yourself.
I’m officially signed up for this challenge on 4 May at 1930

I will take home the “Bruce Randall Excellence in Corpulence” trophy myself!
That is epic and a challenge I can get a behind. I especially like how they nonchalantly add a modest-sounding “order of fries” at the end of the total monstrosity of a burger. In 45 minutes I fully expect you to devour that plus get in several hundred burpees. All while wearing an 80 lb weight vest. That will intimidate any competition and make Super Squats look like a breeze.
Well thanks man. I appreciate the support. My “strategy” is to go as carnivore as possible to start. Tackle the burger patties, then the eggs, then the bacon, then the cheese, then start moving to the more diverse parts of it. Saving the bread and fries for the end, if I get there.
It was nice knowing you
I can go with everything but the peanut butter. Why would they put peanut butter on this?
Good luck!
@TrainForPain This won’t be the first time I’ve been reborn!
@ChickenLittle Thanks! And peanut butter on burgers is delicious! People get so weird about it, but peanut sauce on meat is a treat for anyone who takes on thai food. I’ve enjoyed sunflower seed butter as well.
