(Un)Official 2023 T-ransformation Challenge

I am also on the non-drinking train. I don’t know if I ever enjoyed it TBH.

I hate the taste, the cost, and the way it makes me feel. I may have a glass of wine on my birthday some years, but other than that, meh,

I’d prefer the odd joint now and again, but that also leads to endless chip eating, LOL. But I am grateful that I don’t have a taste for booze at all whatsoever. I know many folk who struggle with it.

You people with your recreational depressants and I’m over here drinking my Spike Energy Drink with 350mg of caffeine just so I can elevate my heart rate back to 50 BPM and feel human again.

My bodyweight is 218 in the morning. Food volume and consumption has been spot on the past few weeks… I’m about to start week 4 of deepwater beginners and @QuadQueen has outlined a diet plan for me going forward. I’m also about to start using protein powder again for the first time in a couple years. I think I’m pretty dialed in right now.

Edit: to add to the alcohol conversation, I’m a regular drinker. I stopped for a bit during COVID, but I enjoy drinking.

Awesome! I’m really looking forward to seeing how this feels and goes. Please keep me posted and I’m here to help adjust and answer questions.

I took about 8 months off from drinking last year. I don’t have a real problem in the traditional sense, but I was drinking stronger and heavier beers more often than I’d like. Coming back, I find the occasional glass of red wine or low ABV beers to be more enjoyable, and I’m no longer interested in knocking back 7% IPAs with buddies. Really, with the type of training I do, it’s silly to sabotage myself.

I own a brewery! (side hustle) but am still searching for a 6 pack…

I rarely drink nowadays unless with good company (1-3 beers or a wine).

+1 to this mate!

Have dropped 1kg since the start of the challenge, hitting rep pr’s on 351 still too.

Nice work! Keep it coming.

Does the machine alarm when they check your pulse at the doctor? Most people can’t get their pulse down below about 80 nowadays

I’ve had it happen before. My blood pressure threw them off last time too. Hearts be weird.

Also, had some local grass fed beef burgers for dinner tonight. Forgot how much better that tastes than grain fed.

Well that’s fun! The company next door to mine is a brewery. Really cool neighbors. Lakewood brewery in Dallas.

Drinking makes me lose weight. I have to cut back a LOT on drinking to put weight back on.

I’m reversed on this. I think grassfed dairy is the superior choice, but I still prefer the taste of grainfed beef.

But I prefer bison over beef in general, so there’s that.

I’ve had nurses do “emergency” EKGs before procedures bc my RHR floats ~40

but that never helps bc they proceed to freak out more over my arrythmia. oh well

Good Sir, I believe you forget we had an expert on the forums a while back that talked about how drinking would make you swell up with about 30lbs of fat sloppy water and get a moonface!

Your side hustle is a lot different than the typical Uber!

I’ll take venison over anything I have tried so far (want to try elk yet but have not had the chance).

Have not splurged for the grass fed dairy yet.

even Roo ??

I almost had a dental procedure cancelled because mine was 44BPM. Had to tell them that’s normal for me.

Let me know when the next Tnation meetup is. I just moved not terribly far from here.

Over anything I’ve tried. Haven’t had Roo yet (except as leather in a hat)
