I am also on the non-drinking train. I don’t know if I ever enjoyed it TBH.
I hate the taste, the cost, and the way it makes me feel. I may have a glass of wine on my birthday some years, but other than that, meh,
I’d prefer the odd joint now and again, but that also leads to endless chip eating, LOL. But I am grateful that I don’t have a taste for booze at all whatsoever. I know many folk who struggle with it.
You people with your recreational depressants and I’m over here drinking my Spike Energy Drink with 350mg of caffeine just so I can elevate my heart rate back to 50 BPM and feel human again.
My bodyweight is 218 in the morning. Food volume and consumption has been spot on the past few weeks… I’m about to start week 4 of deepwater beginners and @QuadQueen has outlined a diet plan for me going forward. I’m also about to start using protein powder again for the first time in a couple years. I think I’m pretty dialed in right now.
Edit: to add to the alcohol conversation, I’m a regular drinker. I stopped for a bit during COVID, but I enjoy drinking.
I took about 8 months off from drinking last year. I don’t have a real problem in the traditional sense, but I was drinking stronger and heavier beers more often than I’d like. Coming back, I find the occasional glass of red wine or low ABV beers to be more enjoyable, and I’m no longer interested in knocking back 7% IPAs with buddies. Really, with the type of training I do, it’s silly to sabotage myself.
Good Sir, I believe you forget we had an expert on the forums a while back that talked about how drinking would make you swell up with about 30lbs of fat sloppy water and get a moonface!
