I’m in!

Little background; for a year and half I lofted sporadically due to life and work. I didn’t get too out of shape because I continued to ride my bike in weekends with my friends. In september I decided to get “serious” again and started a strenght program, with good results. Now I am bulking again, and I will bulk at least until late march; I want more muscle than ever. Right now I am not too in shape (no abs, a little belly etc…) but I am confident I can diet down in 2 or 3 months, as always.

Btw, here is my starting pic (taken before holidays!)

It’s really nothing too fancy! :slight_smile: The iPhone has a feature where you can extract / lift the subject from a photo.

I then used an app such as Layout or a pic Stitch to put the images together.

Will grab some pictures either later tonight or tomorrow morning. My last ones were with a pump so will take some new ones after i’ve eaten all the food my digestive system can’t handle so I look even more bloated.

posting just as a reminder to myself to take some pictures… but I’m in. I took a much-needed break from real training for most of this last year, but I plan to go hard in 2023. I’ve actually put myself in a decent position to do well in this sort of competition, lol. As much as I love strongman, I turn 40 this year, and it might be a good idea to focus more on physique and less on strength for a bit. Let’s go!!!

Looking solid as always mate. Strongman training seems to really agree with you. Are you cutting for this or adding a huge bulk?

Honestly, a lot will happen pretty quickly, since I’ve been in such good shape historically. I’m sitting at around 180 lbs right now, and I’m aiming for 200 by the end of February. I’m pretty sure that’s a reasonable timeline, knowing how my body responds to training and eating right. So pictures will definitely reflect a massive difference pretty quickly. I’m really not sure how I’ll proceed from there, but I may try to chase an all-time bodyweight record, haha. Could be fun.

That’s insane. I’m going the other direction, obviously; this is crazy heavy for me. It will still be a cool visual difference, because I’m carrying plenty, but nothing like +20 lbs of good weight.

I think it will be fun all around! 13 “befores” submitted so far and about that many intending to post. Let’s go, everyone!

Im looking forward to this. My “before” will come up whenever i can strip in front of a mirror and take a picture without alarming my family lol.
