Uh-oh, teenage gyno?

I noticed another thread where Bill Roberts referred to gyno as “nodules” under the skin or nipple. This got me thinking… when I was 12 or so years old, I got little lumps under my nipples, which I was worried was breast cancer (ah, the naivite of youth). My mother talked to my aunt, whose son had also found those… their doctor told them this was normal pubescent development. Was this actually the start of gyno?

Yes, I had this problem when I was sixteen, and the doctor told me it was gyno. I guess some of the extra test that was floating around from puberty had aromatized. Anyway, that is the reason I am afraid to take prohormones, I believe I am prone to gyno.
It eventually went away,or at least I grew enough that it is no longer noticeable. Later,
Joe

Same here…and I agree that if you experienced that during puberty you might be extra cautious with any kind of andro supps or steroids because you’re probably prone to it.

Awww, that sucks… I can still feel the bumps there, though I think they’ve gotten flatter with time. Maybe that’s why my chest has extra chub. Sigh. Well, I make sure I always cycle my androsol one week w/out tribex, and then use tribex… I’m trying out vitex now, so perhaps that will help prevent aromatization.
If you’re prone to gyno, does that speak to the body’s natural tendency to upregulate estrogen? I’ve got some feminine features, and that would explain a lot…

yup, it’s gyno alright. i got it the same way as you except mine never went away. kinda sucks. that hasn’t steered me away from prohormones though. it doesn’t seem to make it any worse. at least not for me. i know that as long as i keep myself somewhere around 6% bodyfat it’s really hard to see. as my pecs get biger it is even less visible. kevo
