Didn’t Randy sign a 4 fight contract to come back?

damn randy couture, at 39 years old, do i HAVE to hear my GF look at him on the tube and ask “he is 4 years older than you???”

I think Couture is 43 if I’m not mistaken.

You are correct, closer to 44 actually. Amazing fight, couldn’t believe how many times Couture took him down.[/quote]

let me clarify, LOL, I am 39, at 43, Randy is 4 years older than me, k?

I too am curious to hear what people think Randy’s chances are against CroCop . . . .

Not good. Far worse than his odds here. Mirko is a stronger, faster, more technical version of Chuck. And we all remember why Randy retired before this fight.

Anyone know what happened with the Matt Hamill fight? He was on the card but it wasn’t televised last night?

finaly someone exposed sylvia as the lackluster fighter he is.all is well now.

According to Couture, he was dealing with a shit pile of a personal life for the last few years.

I am wondering, if what he said is true, how well he would do in another Lidell rematch. I don’t want to see it - as I would not want to have to root against either of them - but I wonder if Couture could actually make a fight against CroCop.

I am not saying he would win - but could he last 5 rounds with him, and still be standing at the end of the fight?

He won by 1st round submission.

Matt Hamill won. TKO 1st round.

Here’s the thing about Cro-Cop and Randy… I seriously doubted Randy before the Silvia fight and he put on a dominant show. I never expected anythng like that in a million years. Who Knows? At this point maybe Couture could fight well against Mirko? Cro-Cop doesn’t like to be put on his back.

Captain America is the MAN!

I had my doubts going into this. I am a huge Randy fan and can’t stand Timmay!(how in the blue hell did he keep the title this long?), but Randy always had trouble with bigger guys like that. That’s why he dropped to Light Heavy. Last night was incredible. I almost needed a cigarette and a cuddle after that.

At 43(almost 44), I think we are seeing the emergence of a new Randy. He mentioned a new Thai trainer, he is living/training in Vegas now, last night he showed a side of himself that none of us have seen before(talking about the technical standup, not the tenacity and toughness which have always been his trademarks).

CroCop may seriously mess Randy up, but then again, Randy may pull some more cool shit out of his bag and throw it in the cage, who knows?

And what was with the nap through the first round? Randy knocks TIm down, follows him down for some more shots, gets his back goes for the RNC, and then they proceed to lay there for well over a minute with no restart. WTF?

Hey Tim, WHAT’S UP NOW!!!

Is the video of Randy and Tim up yet… checked youtube and only a small clip with no sound…

I could not sit after the first big punch by Couture. Wow. Randy is THE MAN!

Randy is the man, WOW! I can’t believe it, that was the most incredible thing I have seen in years. I was sitting on the edge of my seat raising my arms, say WOW! Great stuff.

I’ve got nothing but respect (awe?) for both of these guys but my gut says Crocop with shear power, speed and youth. Although age (experience) and skill are important as well… This is going to be a fight worth watching!

I haven’t seen it yet. Anyone got some picks of him at 225?

Didn’t watch the fights, glad Couture won, but there is NO WAY he has a chance against CRO COP.

Crocop also got knocked out a few times while fighting K-1. Sure, it’s different rules than MMA, but the point is, the guy is NOT an invincible machine and can be be beaten and knocked out.
