TRT and Growth Hormone

Do I need growth hormone to build muscle? I’m confirmed growth hormone deficient due to a pituitary tumor. Im struggling to build muscle, and raising my dosage of trt to 200(under a doctor’s care), from 120. Would this help? I’m just having a hard time to get growth hormone due to insurance fights, and been out since October. Will trt get me there alone? And struggling with weight loss, despite going gluten, dairy and completely sugar-free. Any ideas to stimulate weight loss as well?

Why?

Did the company say why they won’t cover it?

Growth hormone governs our height, bone length and muscle growth. I’m afraid at this point you’re spinning your wheels.

This may be fraud, they deny coverage hoping you’ll give up and go away so they don’t have to pay for it.

If you fight long enough, they will stop playing these games.

My doctor has fought and fought and nothing has come about.

Your growth hormone treatment is medically necessary, end of story.

That’s because there is no such thing as adult growth hormone deficiency as a legit medical diagnoses. I am scripted it too but it costs $2500 for two months worth of 2iu a day. I’m on my third month and it’s really shining for me. Better sleep, recovery and body composition.

No, the HGH won’t be necessary for building muscle but it helps a lot with being more lean while retaining muscle.

Not so unfortunately per the medical community.

Edit; I should add that’s what I was told by my doc and insurance provider. I have not verified this information past that point.

What about bloating and weight gain? Define tried to put me on peptide, but after reading around I hear they are a waste of time a lot of times compared to good ol HGH.

So I tried UGL Hgh a short time back. It caused some serious water retention. My wedding ring wouldn’t even fit my fingers. I stopped because it also gave me racing heart and high RHR. I also decided, unrelated, that I’m no longer using anything I can’t get a script for.

So I researched pharma grade and a lot of people said that doesn’t happen as much of dose is reasonable. I take a true replacement dose at 2iu of Omnitrope which keeps me in the upper range when testing IGF-1. Bodybuilder dosage is typically 4iu minimum. At this dose, 2iu, I have had no sides and only positives.

@greenwaters54 You need to file an appeal or grievance with your insurer. They have 30 days to reply.

Second article I find interesting. Might have to look into that and the approved testing methods. I bet it would still be an uphill battle with insurers.

They said because I’m not a child and my condition doesn’t call for treatment. Denied and appealed twice. Now going through a assistance program. Any ideas for weight loss?

Bullshit, A deficiency of growth hormone in adults results in a syndrome characterized by decreased muscle mass and exercise capacity, increased visceral fat, impaired quality of life, unfavorable alterations in lipid profile and markers of cardiovascular risk, decrease in bone mass and integrity, and increased mortality.

Growth hormone isn’t covered by most insurers.

I know this. I have a pituitary tumor, treating multiple hormone deficiencies and I failed my growth hormone test miserably. I never scored over a 0.5 on 8 different draws, and most draws being a 0. My doctors office is fighting and I was on a program last year, but that ended with that company, so now I’m seeking assistance elsewhere. My insurance won’t cover, so it’s all I can do. No way can I afford 2000-2500 a month for one pen.

Empower charges $500+ for one vial. I don’t know how they possibly quoted that price. I get mine through local big box pharmacy with Good Rx coupon. Its a kit of (8) 5.8mg Omnitrope vials and (8) bacteriostatic water pre measured mixers. Its about $2500 with Good Rx coupon and thats the best I’ve seen.

My cost was for a whole kit of Omnitrope which isn’t a pen style injection but rather traditional vials. The kit contains ~140iu. Still super expensive I know.

I will say that getting a script wasn’t easy either. I was told no several times until I had been a patient for years with half a dozen consistent low IGF-1 tests. However, as your article stated in a prior post this is not an approved method for diagnosing adult GH deficiency (that was new to me).

Guys so what about peptides truly a waste of time or nah? Like that cjc stuff or what ever.

For me it was. I tried three different combos and each time my labs showed no results. I’ve seen others get great results from them. Its a mixed bag. It may be worth trying one round of peptide therapy with a lab follow up.
