Successful long term TRT (10 years), bloods excellent, 54 years old. Adding low dose GH and Ipamorelin/CJC1295.
Looking for experience on the best way to use these together as far as 1)cycling strategy and 2) daily cadence (inject on in PM and one in AM, both together, etc).
No need to add both. HGH would be a long term regimen unless you can’t afford to continue it at replacement doses. In which case you could run it for 3 months, the when off run the peptides, back to the HGH and lather rinse repeat.
I am new to trying to get in shape and lean out and build muscle. Used to be a runner and crossfit but never had anythng but a dad bod. Ive now started lifting weights and thinking of doing the tibarmy coaching/ plan.
I spoke to my md @ primal medical group and asked about peptides and HGH. The doctor prescribed sermorlin which helps increase HGH. Is this a peptide? If not who do you talk to to get the correct peptides? Is it better to get HGH direct vs the sermorlin?
Yes that is a common peptide for stimulating release of HGH. Didn’t work for me but it does for some. Real HGH is the ticket if you can afford it but it’s pricey. Try the peptide first and if follow up labs don’t move much then ask about HGH.
Sermorelin is the most studied and “accepted” peptide for stimulating GH release. It is effective for most people, to varying degrees. Do not expect instant results; it typically takes up to 3 months to start seeing physical improvements, though many users report other attributes such as improved sleep to begin much earlier. Everything I just mentioned is similar to HGH, although most who have tried both report better results from HGH - at a much higher cost.
You can at least add a “0” for pharma HGH. CJC1295 is often taken with Sermorelin. You can also consider Ipamorelin and MK 577. A google search will give you all you need to know.
Via Empower Pharmacy, and with a likely high profit margin for my clinic, I pay around $500/5.8mg Vial. Three of those per month is 2iu daily. I don’t see a benefit below 4iu, so for me the cost is just too high for the small reward and won’t be taking it any longer. Oh been on for a year.
Alot of wisdom in the precious post. However, I do not agree that GH and peptides are a waste of money at small doses. You MUST use them for long periods of time (>3 months) to begin seeing results though. They DO work if you commit to the long term. They are NOT like AAS where you get jacked after a few weeks or a few months. Its totally different. If you stay on long term, you will see tremendous results if your workout, diet and sleep (and other hormones) are all in line.
Disagree. If you are deficient, it makes a world of difference. It has for me at least and I’m a veteran lifter of 25 years. At this point I rarely gain any steps forward in physique but 2iu/day of Omnitrope has made me leaner while retaining more muscle. It takes several months to get these affects though, that’s true.
I’ve tried every combo offered by Defy. None of the had a downstream affect of increasing IGF-1 per my blood work. It was pointless for me and yes I used them appropriate time. I have seen others get good results from them though. It appears to be individual.
No worries, you weren’t wrong about it not really building muscle etc. HGH for adult deficiency wasn’t really the topic anyway per say. For me it was parallel to the results I had on TRT. I really had low T levels and a secondary hypo diagnoses so my friends saw TRT radically transform me. For those that don’t need it, replacement values probably aren’t doing much. Similarly my IGF-1 was at or below botttom range for years. Now that it’s in top range I can definitely hold more existing muscle while being leaner. For building new muscle higher doses are necessary and of course insulin done right would be a game changer.
I’ve run Tesamorelin/Ipamorelin for 1 year, 12 weeks on 3 weeks off, and my IGF-1 went up by 2.5x, I saw no measurable changes in muscle or body fat. My hair and nails grew faster, I could tell I was having to groom those more often. Maybe I slept better; my sleep is fractured usually anyway so hard to tell.
I’ve used 2iu of GH every night for the last year, and I also have seen no measurable difference. I did bump up to 4iu for about 8 weeks and did notice that I was fuller, retaining a “pumped” look without working out often, sometimes only once per week. IMO I wouldn’t use less than 4iu of HGH daily, and for me that would look like $3,000/month, and I don’t think it’s worth that.
My best look surprisingly was when I was using 1iu of HGH that turned out to be fake. Go figure.
IMO low doses of these GH peptides aren’t worth the money. You can spend that on other areas. If you just have to give them a run, let us know how it turns out
Could this be why you aren’t seeing results in general though?
Sermorelin has been amazing for me, more so than trt. I am almost fully recovered overnight and usually lift in the 80-95% ranges. It allows to me to get more intensity out my training considering and even squeeze in an extra day or two of additional assistance work without suffering at all.
The fact that your IGF-1 went up by 2.5x and you saw little to no results is a head scratcher. This is how efficacy of HGH and peptides is mostly measured
