assholes
Would 45 pounds of assholes be the same as 45 pounds of iron?
Only if one fits inside the other.
And I dont want any iron filled ass.
Have you ever tried 45lbs of chocolate covered assholes? Yum (if you’re into that sort of thing)
wow what the fuck. To get this thread BACK on topic, yes I am into that sort of thing.
Shall we talk shop?
Eh I won’t share my gf, so no, no shop talking from me. I’m sure there are some dudes in the V-Diet forum with 45lb asses though. Worth a shot I guess.
I went to a gym a while ago that had marked all their 45lb plates with their true weight. Some varied as much a 7.5lbs. There could well be a difference from one manufacturer to another.
------NOW ONE THING THOUGH, The Olympic bar, Is it the same one you always use? Or a Thicker One?
I know I just got myself a thicker Olympic bar and For some reason it feels heavier when I bench the same exact weight. but its still a 45lb bar.
I think its just because the bar being thicker makes My grip feel different.
Anyone notice it feeling a bit heavier with a thicker bar?

You sure its 45lbs? I know you said it is but the thick bars in my gym are 55lbs.
I may feel heavier when you are doing deadlifts or curls because your grip will be weaker due to the fact that your hand cant close as far around the bar. Your forearms will likely benefit from using it though. I don’t really notice a difference when benching though.

Yeah Im pretty sure its a 45lb bar, but you said they have thick 55lbs ones?
So wow maybe it is a 55lb, I didnt even know they had 55lbs ones.
I bought it at a yard sale guy said it was 45lb,
Now I will have to weigh it some how, because hey 10 pounds is quite the difference, I even thought I was getting weak when I was benching 225 ( Bought this thing last week, so Really have only used it in 3 workouts. But YES I do think no matter what 45 or 55 the thicker that this bar is does make me have a weaker grip which could mean it feels heavier.
I’ll get this weighed, thanks for that reply man.
TS, they probably feel lighter because the rubber is elastic and your fingers sink into them. If you notice a significant weight difference on a bar, then stick to the iron ones. Pumping rubber doesn’t sound right
LOL. Some of the plates in my gym are off by at least 2 lbs. This huge ass powerlifter chews on it after a set of heavy squats. YEAH BUDDY!!! nom nom nom nom…
At the gym where I used to work, we swapped out all of our old metal weights with new rubber coated ones. The metal ones were some cheap knock-off brand I can’t recall. On the way out we weighed a few of the plates and DBs and they were all over the place. Pound or two off but always low.
I attributed it to either wear and tear over time (some were well over 20 years old!) or more likely just shoddy craftsmanship when they were cast.
Any way the rubber ones actually felt heavier to some of the members for a while.

ok OP, its the same shit. 45lbs is 45lbs whether that be of iron, rubber, marshmallows, feathers or big tits.
Just to clear things up cuz idk if u were following these jokes which are actually pretty funny.
I think his question was that dumbbells with rubber “barbell” (pardon, don’t know the correct word for this) being labeled e.g 45lbs tend to be slightly lighter than a dumbbell with iron “barbell” being labeled 45lbs, because the weight of the “barbell” on a dumbbell often isn’t being factored in when they label the weight on it, only what the plates total.

Well that’s just not true. Go weigh your different types of dumbells and get back to us. The dumbell handles usually weigh around 1-2 pounds. Maybe a little more if they are thicker.
