for the record, I started the 5/3/1 boring but big 3 month challenge for squats, I’m using sumo deads as assistance to strengthen my glutes/hips. This is week 3 of 5/3/1.
I’ve gotten into a sweet spot again, these are from last two weeks:
Conv DL: 510x5 off 3" blocks
Squat: 405x5
Axel Bench: ~315x1
Reverse Light Band Squat: 490x1
550 for 2. I seriously thought I was going to get stapled here and it was one of the easiest squats I have ever taken but, I psyched myself out. I planned on barely grinding 1 but it was so easy I took another and was just as easy. I should have hit 3 and 4 with a grind was possible but, this wassupposed to be a easy session so I just racked it at 2.
675 reverse band squat, no spotters or wraps (wanted to try to get over 700+ but couldn’t without spotters there)
365 high pull, 315 3x5 high pulls volume record
dumbbell row 245 x 6.
Seems my back is doing ok. That’s good because it’s about the only thing that is lol.
pulled 556 at the UPA meet in Dubuque IA last weekend. 6 lb pr. I’ll take it!

115 kg for an easy double on the bench
205 kg for a hard double in the deadlift
Gunning for a 550 kg/1212 lbs. total as a sub-junior in the 105 kg/231 lbs class this year.
here’s 470lbs3, touch and go, today was the first time I tried over 425 lbs for reps, I think I did 405X few weeks ago, I did 425*6 the set before this.
Lately I have been deadstop deadlifting(I first started touch and go) but decided to touch and go since that’s been the rage lately, lol. It felt good to switch it up back to touch and go’s, I’m fairly sure I could’ve done another rep. Road to 600!!

Bodyweight Overhead press, finally!! almost for a double, man I hate this lift. 225lbs the new goal!

Pulled 465x8 right after this.
Just started pulling sumo. Hoping to pair a 600 lb deadlift with my attempt to break the wrapped drug tested squat world record at 165 lbs!
Deadlifted 455x5 from the floor and did block pulls (2.5-3 inches off the floor) with 495 for 3x3 with more in the tank. PR’s just keep on coming!
