Training Personal Records Part 4

385 bench press. Really pushing to get that 405 soon. I’m soooooo close!. Bodyweight low 190’s. Will definitely get this on video when I do it.

In the last month, I’ve incline-pressed 365 and rep-maxed on bench for 450. Building towards a new PR in May, hoping to get as close to a 500 bench press as I can in the time remaining.

Yesterday I did stiff leg deadlift off an around 2 inch deficit 110 kg /242 lbs x 17 after heavy zerchers.

I’m hoping for a 440 beltless deadlift on a month

This is only kind of a personal record, as it just ties a rep record. But this is the best 405x10 (unwrapped) has felt, and I absolutely had more reps in me. I would have pushed the set further, but I really didn’t have a reason to, as I’m competing in a strongman show in 3 weeks, and squatting is not on the menu.

Also, enjoy the folks in the background.

Got my first 600 lbs deadlift yesterday!!! Huge number for me. I really need a 600+ deadlift to compete with the top guys in my weight class, both in PL and Strongman, so I’m getting very close to where I believe I need to be. Bodyweight still under 200.

Also got a 240 lbs stone up for 5 reps in 60 seconds. Every time I work with stones right now it’s kind of an automatic PR.

Amazing job brother!

Hit a 690 deadlift and a 300 x 3 Atlas Stone to Shoulder Yesterday…One step closer to that 700 Dead…So close yet, so, so far away…

Hit new PR’s on 2 lifts on Friday. Squatted 425# and Deadlifted 455#! (both beltless) I know it’s not up there was some of the crazy strong people on here, but not bad for an old man. I’m enjoying being the strongest I’ve been in my life, at 51.

115 kg is the most I’ve paused and here I did it with a closer than my usual grip and bands after working up with 2.5 kg incriments from 100 kg so big pr there

Hey man, sorry I didn’t respond to this. Didn’t see it initially.

I minimize warm ups as much as possible. Very few reps. It was probably something like 5 reps at 135, 3 or 4 at 225, 2-3 at 315, 2 at 405, 1 at 495, 1 at 545, then 600. I like to make plate jumps until I get to the point where I can’t go up another plate. At that point I’ll go up by 40-50 lb increments.

Also, I hit a 545 unwrapped squat last week. 20 lbs PR for me. Hoping I can get that 3x bodyweight unwrapped squat soon. I think I can get there in the 198 class.

520 Wrapped Front Squat at 200lbs BW. Really wanna push for close to 550-575 before starting my peak for my next meet.

Got talked into trying Multiply squat suit today. I put the briefs on my self so very loose and a the suit may have took a minute to put on. So technically everything is a PR. 750, 805, 855, and then 900 in the video. Literally first time ever in any of this stuff and none of it is a competition fit.
