Thanks man I am trying and Alpha your looking at a easy 1800 total. For a first meet that is practically unheard of especially in the 220.
Hit a new PR deadlift 435x2 no belt. I know the camera quality is shit but if anyone has any tips I would always appreciate it! (Hoping to get a new phone with a better camera soon)
Reed that was awesome! Crushed it!
Grinded out a big squat last night, 515lbs. It was a tough one, but I fought through it. I think it might have been the new slowest squat of my life haha. It took over 7 seconds from start to finish. It’s interesting squatting with the wraps because you get that bit of extra pop out of the hole, but then the wall you hit at the sticking point is enormous. Something I’m still getting used to. My upper back is getting strong though. I never fold over anymore. Still gunning for 550.
nice fucking grind, got me pumped up just watchin it

Thanks my dude.
A few training PRs from the last week, all at a BW of about 87 kg:
Deadlift: 230 kg @RPE 9.5 (I’d already hit this in competition, but never in training, and never this “easily”)
Competition-style bench: 130 kg @RPE 9.5-10
Squat: 155 kg @RPE 9.5
225x30 on bench. Body weight ~210. +5 rep PR.
Hit a 365# squat back on the 19th. Not that impressive, I know, but it’s a record for me, and not shabby for someone who’s about to hit 50, and only started lifting in his 40’s… 30# PR at 199# bw.
Kroc row 250x10 w/ strap. +30lb PR. Bodyweight 212.
Hit 315 for sets of 5, 4, and 4 last night on bench. Before that I had never hit 315 for more than a set of 3. The six week training plan paid off! BW 158.8 lbs
Had a pretty eventful week
505 for 1 single paused- This was a warmup but is a 5lbs PR on a paused squat.
560 for 1 set of 5. Pretty Easy 20 pound PR. After seeing this I am certain that 700 wrapped for a single will fall by my birth day.
280 for 2 sets of 8, 1 set of 9- PR
385 for 1 set of 5- 20lbs 5 rep PR and was prertty easy.
@Reed…Impressive lifting! Enjoying seeing you consistently hit PR’s.
Triple bodyweight squat for a triple (475lbs x 3)
Hit some pretty good squats on Saturday. I worked up to 505 for a single, and then hit 475 x 3, which is a PR triple by 10lbs. After that I went outside and hit some pretty solid vertical jumps. I’m looking to get my vertical up over 40" again.
355 floor press (+10lb PR). Then did 320x3 floor press (+5lbPR), then 305x5 (never did a 5RM on floor press so a PR), then dropped to 270x10 floor press (+10lbPR) all in the same workout.
Hit a 445 deadlift today, next time I hit heavy singles 455 is mine.
245x8 and 225x10 seated shoulder press. +20lb PR. Albeit, they were non locked out ‘bodybuilder’ reps but still a PR. I train this movement for hypertrophy.
