Thanks! It’s a great gym to train at, no complaints here.

285, want that 315 by the end of the year…
Yeah man, you’ll have that 315 in no time. You’re probably good for 295-300 right now based on how that looked.

Shit man you look good for 315 now. You don’t even have a sticking point
PS that Rack is BOSS
Before I get a bunch of what the fucks lol
I have very shitty lockout power and strength due to my upper back always rounding over just before my knees and as I am passing them and it puts me in a horrible position to try and lockout.
When you put the extra weight on top of your neck especially high up like with a SS Bar it forces you to set your set your hips better and, keep your back in a much more neutral position or the lockout is insanely hard. Plus the leverage of the SS Bar makes the lockout harder in the first place, So it teaches and strengthens your upper back while at the same time greatly strengthening the lockout and forcing better technique. Add the Chains and its even more challenging to the lockout which once again is my hardest part.
You can see just as the bar hits my knees you can see me start shaking and having to force my hams, hips, and upper back to hold position or miss the lift. Once the SS Bar is off its insane how fast my 5 sets of 2 with 405 plus 455 were coming off the ground with no belt and much better position.
I am not the first to do this I originally saw Chuck Vogelphol do it and then saw Clint Darden do them as well and I understand why and they will be a main stay
I wanna try them now! But I don’t think I could ever find someone I could trust enough in the gym to spot that haha.
Joe is a awesome partner so I have nothing to worry about there. How ever its not that bad the bar wont really fall off unless you get insanely uneven. You really just need so some on there so it doesn’t pop of at the top.
Finally got 185 ohp, at least a year long goal!
520+80ish pounds of chains for 2 sets of 3. First set didn’t go have as well but still hit my 3 but had a really weird experience lol. I have had a Stye in my left eye for about 2 days and on my 3rd rep my hip popped making me really grind and pressure made it explode and my eye started filling and squirting blood lol. After re setting I hit another 3 for a much easier set.
No video, unfortunately, as my phone was dead, but I finally hit a 475 squat. Hopefully, the cube keeps working for me and I’ll hit 495 around the end of July. I think I can, honestly.
525lb deadlift at 183lbs. 25lb pr! I performed so crappy my last meet due to increase drinking/partying, slacking on training and mental issues, but back on track now. Felt great to hit this. Road to 585(then 600!) also it’s been 1 year since I started powerlifting training. I’ve lost ten lbs, eat about 1000 more calories a day and added 120lbs to my deadlift.
345x3 bench today. Vids in my log. I’m feeling really good about my meet in October rn

Belt/wrap squat PR: 260kg (573lb) x3
Raw bench PR: 400lb
The squat looked very impressive but I must be missing something regards the bench as it doesn’t look like the bar actually touches the chest unless its just the angle the video was shot at.
500x10 sumo deadlift raw w/ straps. FIrst time testing a true 10 rep max on sumo. Body weight 210.
Squat PRs last night:
525x2
545x2
I need to be more confident with the weight and hit depth a little better. But at least the strength is there. Kind of odd that the bar speed on both lifts are similar.

Hit a new squat PR yesterday, I did 415lbs, for a 10lb pr, then 425lbs for a 20lb pr. It’s been a month so for i started low bar squatting and I’m liking it and getting better at it every session. Here’s the 425lb squat. Bodyweight 182.2lbs
