Training Personal Records Part 4

hit a 345x2 front squat earlier. Gonna shoot for 365+ soon

Took me 20 years to figure out how to bench. These guys taught me more in the last 6 months than all those previous years by myself.

hit a 455 wrapped squat today. no video, the recording got messed up

Few highlights and PRs from this past weeks Benching and Pulling.

340 Bench Press TnG

410 Bench for 2 with Maddog

315 4" Stiff Leg Deficit Deadlifts for 10

that’s awesome Reed. Man, You’re making me want one of those slingshots! But I got gimp ass shoulders these days so I’m not sure overloading them is the “smart” move lol.

Thats why I use the Sling Shot though. It helps alot due to my sticking point but the whole reason I bought it and fell in love with it is that it allows me to really push volume and practice form while keeping my shoulder 100% pain free man. Seriously if you have shoulder problems you need to atleast get the reactive sling it will allow you train with much higher volume pain free and over load those triceps like a mother.

no shit, fuck it I’m pulling the trigger on one now before I change my mind. THANKS MAN for the insights.

I’ve found this is definitely the case. I’ve been hitting my 5/3/1 + set and then using the reactive sling for at least an additional set and it burns the triceps out like I’ve never felt before. Every time I’ve hit at least 3 more reps too.

I promise man buy the reactive or original unless your shoulders are seriously fucked in which case look into yello or full boar. Give it a shot and if you don’t like it I give you my word I will buy it from you at full price personally.

Oh yeah and what he said. Do not use it by its self. You still need to push as much volume as possible with out a sling. I usually do warmups and then 2-4 work sets with just standard raw bench. Then I add the sling for 1-3 sets tops.

If I have a heavy Bench day like say:
315 for 2x3, 1xAMRAP
-add sling-
335 for 1
370 for 1
405 for AMRAP usually 1-3 tops.

If its a rep Bench day:
225 for 2 x 8
250 for 1 x 8
275 for 1 x AMRAP
-add sling-
315 for AMRAP with slightly closer grip.

209 kg for a triple @RPE 9-9.5. My form was pretty brutal today, I couldn’t really focus on pulling back. But I’ll take it.

530 with a super wide like uncomfortably almost fell over backwards after unracking wide. Either way 30lbs PR All Time Unwrapped Squat not even knee sleeves.

Ill throw my hat in the ring with my 655dl from a couple weeks ago

Also hit a 365x2 paused close grip bench recently but no video.

Hit 2 PRs last night for paused bench:

370x2
375x2

475 Out of the Hole Ultra Wide 12 5 Box Squat for 3. Last time I did these I almost got buried with 405 for a single.

This is about the absolute hardest combination of ways to make a squat suck. So I am very happy with this.

505 for 3 belt only. 5 pound PR and it looks much better than my 500 for 3 a few weeks ago with sleeves. I really widened my stance and am working on keeping knee vertical to avoid all patella pain after talking to Chris Duffin a little he and all his videos convinced me to give it a try and a few weeks ago and my squat is taking off. I love it. I am not loose up top any more and no more hip wobble.

140s x 5 on DB flat bench. This is a big one for me since a yr and a half ago I missed setting up with them and I blew out my shoulder and got a huge case of bursitis I had to have an MRI and was in a sling for 3 weeks. So to come back and hit them for 5 is a huge personal conquer for me. Body weight is currently 208.

Bodyweight (185) + 50 lbs. chinup for 7 reps. Haven’t had any PL PRs recently since I’m just starting meet prep, so I’ll take any PR on assistance I can get. Six weeks from now I should have plenty to provide for this thread.

OHP pr,225 lbs,208 BW, kind of a grinder at the end

I recognize that gym from the YouTubes.

Nice PRs!
