Training Personal Records Part 3

Got a 255 close-grip bench press today with 10 lbs to spare. I didn’t want to push it any further because I was kinda gassed from maxing out. But it beats my all-time CGBP PR by 10 lbs, so I’ll take it.

Thanks Dixie. How’d you come out at your meet?

1715 total, with a 700 squat, a token bench of 390 (injuries) and a 625 deadlift. I went for broke and attempted 660 on my last pull and lost it right above my knees.

Congratulations on your lifting Dixie. You didn’t say but I hope it was enough for a win. I know we do this cause we love it but it’s nice to take home “the gold”. Hey, I know you’re gonna come back and smash 660 at your next meet.

Hit 225 OHP for a triple, granted it was in a smith machine (had no spotter and I have a tendency to throw weights backwards in OHP). Going to try it free standing next shoulder-day.

I was first in my weight/gear class, but there was only two of us haha, but hey, I got a trophy. Thanks brother, my goal is more than 660 next time.

reverse band bench press- 675x1 + 10lb PR

Squat 385x1 tonight. I was gonna squat 405 for the first time ever, but I just missed it. Oh well, there’s always next time.

Luke

335 on the bench, equalled a pr I haven’t hit in over ten years.

Deadlifted 523 raw. 21 pound PR that I’ve been chasing for a couple years

You could probably stand to gain 20-30lbs, and not spend so much time on the internet worrying about how other men look.

675 reverse band pull, bands loose at top, after main deadlift work

I PULLED 722LBS AT THE EUROPA IN DALLAS FOR AN ISA WORLD RECORD IN THE MASTERS AND THE OPEN.

Thanks man! I should’ve done better at the regionals but the problem was technical which I obviously corrected at the Europa. I’m considering the APF Texas Cup in November next.
