It was.

Very little DOMS. Actually I feel it more in my upper back.

We’ll see how I feel at hockey tonight.

Although I hit the weight before, I finally squatted 405 for a solid three two days ago and deadlifted 445 for three as well on Tuesday with no belt on both, and the lack of a belt makes it a PR for me.

Started squatting heavy 5x a week for the past two months. Brought my ATG squat from 375 to 405 while bw went from 176 to 172. Bench went up from 295 to 315 (finally) benching heavy twice a week. Going for 415 tomorrow for the squat.

DL 500x10 and 600x1 all in May
Bench 315x5 also in May, good month for PR’s

not to hijack but a lot of solid lifters on this thread, I’m pretty much a 4,5,6 lifter but I weigh 230lbs, and the last few years I put all my focus into a double body weight bench, best I can do is a double with four plates. I was wondering if anyone had success in this type of situation, I can get within 40lbs, than I try something desperate and loose ground, 531 seems to work the best for me, but won’t quite get me there, gaining and loosing weight seems to really affect my bench, but won’t get me any closer. I’m on the verge of giving up, and going back to work on my other lifts. Any help would be appreciated, great thread by the way

No way I could play decently after doing that with deadlifts! How did the game go?

Bench 117.5x3 and squat 3 plates x 4.

Glad my squat us moving up. Damn nearly killed me the 4th rep.

It went ok. First time with the team for summer league.

Timing issues, etc.

I could match speed with the fast kid from the other team. We were about equal.

Did about an hour and a half for scrimmaging

You using a hook grip there, Ukrainian? Nice pull!

Thank you!

I am. Starting using it a while ago and just got used to it. Makes deadlifts and olympic lifts much easier to do.

+1 rep, +5 lbs

hit a 425 deadlift at 172. It’s still a really bad pull but I’m slowly getting better.

Deadlift and bench PRs from this week:

315 front skwat. Form critique always welcome

Holy shit, good job on both lifts. Those looked like you had some more left in the tank as well.

Thanks dude! Yea I think there’s another 10-15 in the deadlift, with the bench I don’t know. I lift pretty fast so it either goes up and looks easy or I miss.

just got down with a local comp.

Squat 455 - 495- x(pulled something on 495)
Bench x-475-x(500fell out of groove)
Deadlift 455-x-x(missed 495 sumo twice)

wasnt a good day

but i did pause the 475 bench…one good lift i guess.
