Training Personal Records Part 3

PR Deadlift, 500x2. My previous 1RM was 470 at my meet December 1st (I missed 500 twice following my opener at 470). I know it’s not a massive number for my weight class (181 lbs.), but I’m happy with my progress and with finally breaking reaching 500.

pulled 315 the other day. Been lifting for 6 months now.

475 lbs. squat - 30 lbs. PR over my meet best set on 12/1/12. I attempted 490 afterwards and narrowly missed it. 500 lbs. is the goal at my next meet April 13th.

Sheeit, that’s 72 reps of heavy pulling. No wonder these kick my ass.[/quote]

This is one of the coolest thing I’ve ever seen.

tested my incline bench last night…

Wide grip Incline Bench - 405lbs x 1

Damn, I need to up my numbers.

My best pull so far has been 545 at 198lbs. I see some of you guys use a wider grip though; perhaps I’ll try that sometime to see if it helps. The APA state record in my home state is 575 in the Raw 20-23 Junior 198 class; my goal is to get to a clean 600 while staying under weight.

212.5kg dead. Felt good. That is a 7.5kg PR and I can feel 5 plates coming very quickly.

What are you doing with your bench training that lets you hit 25lb PRs? Weak benchers need to know…

Gee, now my PR of 130kg is weak sauce! Was a 10kg PR.

Nice benching gurbob.

well if you must know…i injured my back and right hip, so i cant do anything with my lower half, which leads me to bench 3 times a week…flat monday, close grip wednesday, wide grip incline friday. Accessory selection plays a big part for me.

Monday accessories:
Incline for reps 10/10/10/5/5/5/3/3/3
Power shrugs 20/20/20 (Heavy 100%-125% of flat bench)
Face pulls
Hammer curls

Wednesday accessories:
Flat + titan ram + chains(200lbs) for Heavy triples - beat every week before by 5lbs
T-bar rows 10/10/10/10/10
Face pulls
Shoulder superset

Friday Accessories:
3 Board press Heavy Triples/2 Board Heavy doubles with titan ram
5-9 x 3 Speed Bench /w chains 50% bar - 25% chains. (once speed is gone, so am i.)
Face pulls
Hammer curls

One more, 147.5kg squat. Was good. Came up quickly, good form too. Happy with it and felt if I hadn’t hit earlier reps (3 week of 5/3/1) I would have made it 150+ quite easily.

I back squatted triple bodyweight tonight, 462lbs @ 152. That’s a landmark I’ve been chasing for a pretty long time, so I’m happy to have finally hit it. My goal now is to break the 500lb barrier.

Here are some PRs from the last couple of months. I’ll be competing again in April at 148 lbs.

Nice lift. Even better reaction.

Thank you, sir.

On Tuesday I squatted 430x3, which is a 5lb pr.
I also pulled 520 for 6 reps after squats. Old pr was 515x5.
And today I squatted 440x2, also a 5lb pr and first time hitting the 200kg mark for more than a single rep.
