Training Personal Records Part 3

Started Deadlifting roughly a year ago. About two years removed from a L5 Hernia surgery I deadlifted for the first time. I never though I would get to 400. This is my first video on T Nation of my first documented 400 lb. deadlift. Had to do it twice because my phone only records in short intervals didn’t get the first one recorded. Felt like I could have gotten at least 410. My goal for DL is 500 lbs. by December.

Video sucks but whatever.

uploading to youtube is usually the easiest way to get the vid right. Also, dem be some ghetto-ass clips!!

Yeah…my phone sucks. I’m to cheap to spring for a better one. I just wanted to document the lift. Maybe next time I’ll use my wife’s I phone.

355 close grip yesterday at 170, thats the national record in the new 74kg weight class. Should crush it!

standing overhead press- 225x20 + 3 rep PR bodyweight is down to 245 now.

245X3 strict Press 3 reps with bodyweight.

SSB Squats- 525 for 5 reps:

Heres another squat PR for me:

And a bench sort of PR… This shirt is going to kill me I think:

I’ve noticed you keep your hands pretty wide when you press, is there a reason for that beyond personal preference?

new PR for me.
Deadlift
405 x 10 (plenty left in tank)

405 + 70lbs chains x 5 (probably two left in tank.)

i recently switched from a narrow grip to a wider grip that is closer to my bench grip. the wider grip allows me to bring the bar all the way down to my chest. before, with the narrow grip i couldn’t get the bar that low. i feel that i get a much better carryover to my bench press by going wider.

floor press against chains- first time doing chains so it’s a cheap PR. BW is 244 now and dropping.
455 + 70lbs x 1

425 close grip

309X6 Incline
365X1 Incline
@a diminutive 240.

260kg/577lb Deadlift 20kg45lb pr

Haven’t gone above 172/385 in training!

Madonna makes me stronger!

Hit a huge PR tonight!

Cool, thanks. I just recently brought my press grip in closer and it’s working a lot better, but I’m also not pressing nearly as much as you are.

Someday I will…

Post something totally awesome in this thread.
