Got a 345 lbs reverse band bench on Saturday. It is the long orange bands from eltie fts (no idea how they are called) and I don’t know how much they take off, but I always set them up the same way from top of the cage so, umm…big PR. In fact it felt so easy that I went for a second rep but stalled half-way through. On to 355 next week. After hitting this and a 315x3 off a manpon last week, I feel hitting 315 in my competition in November doable.
Tomorrow I’m attempting 505 reverse band dead. This will be the most weight I have ever held in my arms, so, I’m pretty stoked. Hit 495 the last reverse band cycle and it wasn’t too bad. I really want that 500 dead for my meet…
Pulled 230kg (507lbs). 20kg PR although I estimate my max to be about 240kg based on previous rep work. Still felt good to get over 500 without any hyping myself and at the end of my regular deadlift session.

Just hit a 585 deadlift at a 191lb bodyweight
This is after 3 years of deadlift stagnation from injury. This is a 60lb PR over my best meet lift, and a 45lb PR in terms of gym lifts. It’s also my first time using ammonia, as you can probably tell, haha.

Holy shit you have some amazing leverages for the deadlift. You could go really far with it I would think. Your arms at lockout are long as shit.
It probably doesn’t help I dislocated my right shoulder 5 times and it hangs pretty low as a result, haha. But thanks man, I feel the same way about my leverages. Makes deadlift fun, but my bench seems to go on forever.
I’m most excited about just doing something with that weight on my back. I’ve never had more than 405 straight weight on my back. Let alone more straight weight, a SSB and a set of average bands. It’s a step towards a better squat.
These are some awesome lifts; great inspiration guys. But benching sucks; where are all the presses? I didn’t look through every single page, but it’s obvious that the press does not get enough attention. Wish it did. Anybody witness a 405 press? Best I ever saw at my gym was a 325 push press; still awesome, especially for a commercial gym. Keep the PR’s coming but let’s expand a bit and maybe discuss our favorite lifts and why.
For me, deadlift and press. Why? I’m sure some of it is my proportions but also just the descriptions:
Deadlift: Pick that up.
Press: Put that over your head(would technically describe the clean and press but whatever)

i’ve been putt’n up some PR’s on overhead press. i recently hit a very comfortable 325 overhead press. this week i’ll up that to 335 or so. i’ve hit a 405 push press before but at a BW of 280. i’m below 250 right now and feel pretty confident that i could hit it again or at least get really close to it.

Seriously, very nice. My ultimate goal is 315. I recently got 235 at BW of 205 but my PR is 275 at BW of 225. But congrats on the 405; some of us can dream.
