With everything that happened last week is anyone having trouble finding motivation to train? i feel kind of depressed and not really into working out.
I’m feeding on the hate. I’m still in the Army reserve and I’m torn between hoping I won’t be activated (mainly for financial reasons: I have two young kids and a wife in college and Army pay is not that great) and hoping I am activated (mainly because I have two small kids and I don’t want them still fighting this fight when they’re my age.) Either way, I want to be ready.
if i didn’t train I would feel alot worse, i’ll tell ya that.
I had a little trouble last week, but then on the internet I saw a cartoon of the Statue of Liberty giving the finger and saying “We’re Coming, Mutherfuckers.” It gave me a spark, and I’ve been doing pretty well. Has anyone else noticed that their gym is damn empty now?
Try some powerdrive (or l-penylalanine, l-tyrosine) in the morning on empty stomach, wait at least an hour before you eat anything else with protien in it.
I think
a sense of helplessness, combined wiht stress, that happens when you can’t immediately attack an agressor decreases nor-adrenalin.
Styles, a friend of mine showed me the same cartoon. It gave me shivers I loved it so much. Do you know the site where I can download it?
luckily for me i tend to get more focused when i retreat inside to deal with conflicts. my workouts have become more intense as this whole ordeal has unfolded. kevo
yeah, my gym has been pretty empty…but i was watching the flyers hockey game last night(i’m from philly) and seeing the people make them stop the game after the second period to hear the president’s speech and cheer mayor juliani and the wife of the crash victim, really uplifted me, i had a great workout today
I much prefer the cartoon of the juiced up eagle sharpening his claws with a rasp. I have it on E-mail as a .gif, but I’m not sure where on the web it would be. If you haven’t seen it, you need to. Let me know if there’s a way I can E-mail it to you.

Do what Doogie does-feed on hate. It’s an excellent motivational tool. Whenever I feel I would rather watch Passions than train, I start thinking about something or someone ( more often)I hate. In just a few minutes of intensive thinking about person you hate you will start breathing heavily and you’ll be ready to hit the weigths. As for the cartoons other guys are talking about try this site:
