I read Chad’s muscle muscle revolution and Thib’s black book of training secrets , they are great, what should I read next? Can anyone suggest me some must read books
? I don’t know if this is the right forum
I have quite a few ebooks myself including CW’s and Thib’s (getting a Staley book for hristmas) and honestly…this website has more good information than any ebook you can find anywhere…and its all FREE!
I don’t know where I would be with T-Nation.
Just read a little bit of each author and find who’s philosophies fit you the most then read all their work on here and then maybe buy their books.
Ian King´s Get Buffed is great. Anything from Poliquin is good to read. Pavel Tsatsouline has good ones too (Beyond Bodybuilding is my favourite).
I really liked Thibs High Threshold muscle building e-book, it really is cool.
ZYL281 is 100% correct i mean my brother was disappointed when he brought book of muscle and then I showed him all of ian kings stuff hereon T-Nation.

Let me add a little to what I said earlier. I don’t think buying ebooks or books is worthless. I believe that everything you read will give you a little more ammo in your arsenal. What I do think tho is that 90% (probably more) of what the authors put in their books is available here…FOR FREE!
Will you learn new things? Definetly!
Is it worth it? I’m not sure…personally I think I would just stick with whats on this site and maybe pick up a book or two…but you really aren’t missing out on any magical tip or program by not buying their books.
There are several e-books available on torrentz.com for those who use bit-torrent (I don’t btw. At my age the internet is difficult enough for me to handle). I was surprised when my grad student pointed them out to me.
thanks for responses people…I myself believe you can learn lots of things from books… but generally yeah…you aren’t missing any super program by not buying the book… but at my age (15) its difficult to buy books… so yeah T-Nation is the best ![]()
I’d have to agree that most stuff you can find for free. I’ve read quite a few muscle e-books and I’ve gotta say I don’t regret reading them. In fact, (a friend of mine) illegally downloaded Power to the People and then bought it, and Beyond Bodybuilding, because (he) thinks they are just great sources of info.
My point is the value of a book (vs T-Nation) is:
-
Info
There is nowhere on the Internet that I have seen all of the info included in the Poliquin Principles published. Also, having a whole bunch of information, including say plans and recipes in Berardi’s case, is really valuable. It saves you lots of time and that’s I think one key to success. -
Personality
After reading Power to the People you get a good idea of how Pavel’s mind works, comrade. Also, for a few months PTP really improved my lifts, but I think not as much to do with the program itself (which is good) but because it inspired me A LOT. In T-Nation people seem to change routine rather easily, and I think this has the danger of eventually making you apathetic.
Many of the best muscle books and e-books are available illegally. I am not going to tell you what to do, but what a friend of mine did was he downloaded a whole bunch of stuff and then decided and maybe spent his money on people who he thought had something to say that could be relevant.
I am going to give you a list of do’s and dont’s (IMO):
DO
Dan John (FREE)
Pavel
Berardi
Poliquin
Thibaudeau
Staley
Boyle
Cressey
DONT
Craig Ballantyne
Pete Sisco
Pete Sisco
Have I mentioned Pete Sisco?
Anthony Bova (Spartan Health Regime)
I hope I was helpful. Long post, hope I didn’t bore ya ![]()
