Is it necessary or an advantage/disadvantage to take a planned training deload?
Would you keep macros the same ?
Or would you keep training hard all the way through the cutting?
TIA

I mean, most serious programs have planned deloads in them. I would think they have some merit considering how widely applied they are.
Some diet plans would suggest to keep them the same, others would adjust macros accordingly to training days. For example, the Renaissance Diet says:

(protein is standard 1.0g/lbBW, fat is minimum 0.3g/lbBW)
On the other hand, the Velocity Diet is the same everyday, whether training or not.
