Planning a Deload Week

I’m about to transition programs after a hard 15 weeks on the same one in the middle of a cut. I’d like to implement a deload for a week, so my next week can be used establishing an accurate baseline for my follow-on mass-building program (lots of different exercises involved compared to current program).

I’ve noticed that the past few weeks have become harder and harder as I reach the end of my cut, so I’m wary to jump right into establishing a new baseline without the deload in between.

What does everyone recommend for a deload percentage? I’ll be training the same exercises, but not sure what percentage of my current training sets I should be doing (80%, 50% or something in between) to ensure I still get a good lift in, while setting myself up for an accurate reset.

As always, your input is appreciated!
